"I hate to talk about myself like that, but if I had to straight up tell a head coach or an owner why they should take me, it's because I'm the best in everything I've done," Griffin said. "I'm the most accurate. I have the strongest arm. I may not be the tallest. I may not be the heaviest. But I'm the best quarterback in the nation, and if they pass on me, then I understand. But I'm going to go out and be the best quarterback for somebody else."

that doesnt mean very much. hell, for that kind of money, I say I should be first overall pick.

lol. This was the first thing I thought when I saw the headline, pwndabear should be first overall pick.

YEAH GIMME MONEY!

I’m the best quarterback in the nation

Umm… I hope he means “in the draft”.

I hope he doesn’t.

On a personal confidence level that’s fine. To be the best you have to think you’re the best. But in reality, as of right now, he’s not better than the elite NFL QBs. And please don’t get me wrong. His cockiness doesn’t turn me away from drafting him. We need that.

To be the best you have to think you’re the best.

That’s what I was getting at. I know he’s not an elite QB right now, but I think the Browns could use a quarterback with that kind of confidence. Of course, he’ll need more than confidence when push comes to shove.

I knew what you meant. I was agreeing with you.

Me either, and usually it would, but he can pull it off, probably because he backs a lot of it up.

He’s brash enough to try to be the best. Do not get me wrong, I’ve never said he wasn’t a good college QB. He won the Heisman trophy for christ sakes. He just may be a darn good QB in the NFL, though I still believe that Andrew Lucks body of work and multiple season progressions have made his case stronger. I also believe that Luck should have won the Heisman, but thats neither here nor there. He can talk all he wants too, though Luck is the only QB that Cleveland should even consider to move up for.

And if he can convince Indy he’s the best (and he possibly could) we could end up with Luck. I still think Indy would take Luck and then try to work out some sort of SD/NYG type of trade.

Griffin also had multiple good seasons in college.

How many times do you think it will need to be said before it sinks in?

I like the confidence. Assuming it doesn’t come prepackaged with a TO-esque prima donna personality, then it doesn’t bother me at all.

There’s no evidence that it does. I agree, I love it.

I especially liked his comment that if Luck goes before him, he’s a competitor and he’s going to spend the rest of his career trying to win more games than Luck.

Take him Indy, so we get luck! Honestly I don’t care what happens, as long as we get a top WR

To me, its 1 and 1A. We get a excellent, highly accurate, high character quarterback. (voted the best of ALL college football athletes) There are always more than one great qb in a draft. As long as we’re getting one this year. so we won’t be picking top 10 again, for the last 9 out of 10 years.

I heard he’s addicted to crack though.*
