In for a name change? DBN regular pwndabear (hat tip) made a suggestion in the 2/10 post:
rename it Daily Dawg Chow. That way, it’s a daily feature and people won’t feel weird about commenting on it after 12pm every single day like I do.
I liked the suggestion, but decided I'll ask for more feedback before I make the change. What do you guys think?

what if you’re sick one day and you cant get the post done until like 1pm or so? you still gonna call it morning dawg chow?
pwndabear - February 13, 2012
you shoulda never given them a choice. the masses, when left with a chance to make change, will invariably stay with stagnancy.
pwndabear - February 13, 2012
The poll is dead even right now at 38-38. Looks like it’s going to be very close.
Jon @ DBN - February 13, 2012
reverse psychology works.
pwndabear - February 13, 2012
I just realized, the majority of the morning crowd voted Morning Dawg Chow. By the time noon came around, Daily Dawg Chow took the lead. It makes sense.
Jon @ DBN - February 13, 2012
STOP IT YOU’RE RUINING EVERYTHING
pwndabear - February 13, 2012
Probably true… I tend to read it at Noon… So I was split between the two… Went with Daily since it then fits… Although you post it in the morning.. hence the Morning ….
Hum…. Ah well, either works :)
BinkDeBook - February 13, 2012
Really, who cares. Name it what you name it.
nickjs21 - February 13, 2012
he’s gonna name it what he names it due to the poll.
pwndabear - February 13, 2012
This might be the dumbest thing anyone has ever posted here.
Brownie's Year - February 13, 2012

On a side note, Pluto is really trying to stuff the idea that Colt will “improve” next season and “should” be better with a better supporting cast. All obvious points, but none address whether he is a guy we should be comfortable with ever winning us a Super a Bowl. I can’t tell if he is convinced we should not try and draft a QB, or if that is the vibe he is getting from the front office.
The only reason I bring this up is that, the rest of the media seems to assume the Browns will make a play for a QB, while the PD seems intent on surrounding Colt with weapons so that we can see improvement next year.
Roger Dorn - February 13, 2012
Meanwhile the Browns “sources” seem to be tipping their hand toward defense.
Jon @ DBN - February 13, 2012
If we do go offense with first pick, this might be the tipping point with me and the PD. Meaning, I won’t believe anything they write.
Roger Dorn - February 13, 2012
You sir, are a rock. I reached that point long ago, with the occasional exception of Pluto.
Vududawg - February 13, 2012
I guess that’s the point I am trying to make here, if Pluto is way off on this, what exactly is he bringing to the table? And he is the only one that has me caring right now.
Roger Dorn - February 13, 2012
What Pluto brings, IMO, is thoughtful and intelligent discussion of pertinent Browns topics – which differentiates him from the others in itself. I’m still not sure how much I trust his “insider” leads, but he is an enjoyable read at least, who brings up interesting points and often defends them with a logical argument.
Vududawg - February 13, 2012
Last week Pluto said we’d be stupid if we drafted RG3 because he doesn’t take snaps under center.
Brownie's Year - February 13, 2012
That was incredibly dumb, I agree.

Bonus link to article about the most underrated picks. There’s also a link to the most overrated
HenryDawg - February 13, 2012 via mobile
Nice.
Jon @ DBN - February 13, 2012
That overrated list is interesting:
Blackmon
Burflict
Alson Jeffery
Mercilus
Mike Adams
A lot of the guys on that list are in our discussion here and more than a few are well liked.
Kaner - February 13, 2012
I’d call it Dawg Bones (cuz you’re throwing us Dawgs some bones…i.e. feeding our hunger for Browns news), but that’s just me.
Bumblyjack - February 13, 2012
simms man you gotta rocky and bullwinkle this title. give us options.
pwndabear - February 13, 2012
I like it.
Maybe “kibbles ‘n’ bits”? Any addendums or expanded editions could have the suffix – ‘n’ bits, ‘n’ bits
Vududawg - February 13, 2012
DelMonte foods would be all over this site in a heartbeat with lawsuit in hand
pwndabear - February 13, 2012
Granted…. and withdrawn.
Vududawg - February 13, 2012
Actually Love the DAWG BONEZ title!!!
ctowndawgpound - February 13, 2012
The OBR article on receivers was pretty good. Their prediction of bringing in DeSean Jackson and Danny Amendola, while unlikely due to Heckert’s low-spending approach to FA, does make a lot of sense. They both have strong connections with members of our organization and they both match what we’re looking for.
Bumblyjack - February 13, 2012
Well, not anymore. Seems Jackson will be franchised.
nickjs21 - February 13, 2012
Totally of current Subject – What Division II schools have players that would be good fits for our Browns. Either as draftees or UDFA’s.
J. W. - February 13, 2012
Regarding the FA WR article, I would love to see Stevie Johnson, Colston, or Laurent Robinson in a Browns uni next year. Not crazy about V-Jax (29 yrs old), Bowe, or D-Jax as I get scared by players with motivational issues.
It’s plain that we need to draft WR this year, but I think between Little, a solid high-round draft hit, and one of the above guys, we would have a very capable WR corps. Shoot holes in it gentleman (and ladies.)
Vududawg - February 13, 2012
You should call it Daily Dawg Nutz.
Brownie's Year - February 13, 2012
Or, The Dawg’s Bollocks
Ska.t73 - February 13, 2012
I laughed for a good minute.
Brownie's Year - February 13, 2012
You bastard, you used a “z” to screw me out of royalties.
Dawg Nuts - February 13, 2012
I thought your name ended with “z”. My bad.
Brownie's Year - February 13, 2012
I come from a time when Z’s were Z’s and S’s were S’s. Those damn kids and their fancy dizzles and fo-shizzles. Get off my lawn.

Doc's Kid - February 13, 2012

pwndabear - February 13, 2012
I heard a little while ago that Randy Moss is coming out of retirement.
Brownie's Year - February 13, 2012
Kind of irrelevant to the Browns with our OC.
nickjs21 - February 13, 2012
Ha! That would be amazing to watch.
notthatnoise - February 13, 2012
In no way was I trying to say he should come here. This is a news thread.
Brownie's Year - February 13, 2012
I support this philosophy, but, alas, my poor eye couldn’t scout the difference between Peyton Manning and Beau Bell.
JustBob - February 13, 2012
Very good… How about Browns Breakfast Buffet? If we are going to think about food while reading this, I’d like it to be human food… especially bacon! Actually though, this is a really, really good thing to be doing. I like it! Kudos!
Brownsyup - February 13, 2012
