No player, owner, coach, cheerleader, equipment manager, mascot, or etc etc etc would go for it. And what could you make it for in the Super Bowl? Home field advantage? OK, yes it would be nice to see the Bowl in Cleveland…
No thanks, its bad enough in baseball (the part about being worth something, not the mid-season part). Also if that happens it would be when the Browns are sending 6 players and we’re contending for a SB and our starting QB tears an ACL forcing us to end the season with 40 year old Seneca Wallace. Just our luck.
Drop kicks aren’t that easy. Unless you practice it a lot.

Yeah you have to time it pretty perfectly. Didn’t Doug Flutie do this in an actual game not too long ago?
notthatnoise - January 30, 2012
Flutie talked about that yesterday. Belichick let him do it in a game against Miami.

Yes you are correct on Flutie Flakes.
Here it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0Jsz-fSNd4

Yahoo! Sports doesn’t list this in the play-by-play for some reason. ESPN does list it as a missed XP.

Brees’ fake pissed off mood is pretty funny.
MOVE THE PRO BOWL TO MID SEASON AND MAKE IT WORTH SOMETHING FOR THE SUPERBOWL.
SpecialBrownie - January 30, 2012
Do you think any player would go for that?
Brownie's Year - January 30, 2012
Boohoo. What other sport are they going to play? Every other sport does it and adds weight to it.
SpecialBrownie - January 30, 2012
Every other sport has a bajillion games in their season, not 16.

I’ve always been a patron of actual home field Superbowls.

No way our guys should risk injury so that another team can be the Home team for the Super Bowl.

God no.
