It's not Cleveland Browns football, but I bet the majority of you will be tuning in to tonight's NFL regular season opener between the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints.
Drew Brees and company will try to showcase why they are again the team to beat in the NFL, while Brett Favre tries to prove that last year's terrific season with the Vikings was not a fluke. Despite the defensive talent that both teams feature, I'm projecting this game to be a shootout with the home-team Saints coming out on top.

First post on the first regular season game thread!
Sorry. Had to do it.
emily522 - September 9, 2010
I won’t be watching. I have a flag football game tonight at 9:20 and dinner/some practice before then. My number is 16. Any guesses as to why? :)
Sadly, our team got signed up into the competitive, not the recreational, league. So… it’ll be interesting…
emily522 - September 9, 2010
Dude, that is so totally awesome!
Kudos!
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Oh man.
We were awful.
I mean, it was the first game and we haven’t really had an official practice so it was ROUGH. I caught one pass, completed none of my passes (out of maybe 5), and rushed 3 times for maybe 9 yards. I know how Tim Couch felt- we had no blocking whatsoever. I’d get the ball snapped to me and my flag would be gone before I even had time to look up.
It was fun, though. Hopefully we get better.
emily522 - September 9, 2010
My freshman year I played flag football. A bunch of kids on my floor decided to start a team, but realized right before the first game we had no idea who would play QB. while trying to figure it out, we all tried to throw as far as we could. I magically have a cannon arm apparently, so I was the quarterback. we went on to win the championship and get free T-shirts.
/cool story bro
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
I find it funny that the 2 comments to emily (a girl), one starts off with dude, and the other ends with bro.
bross09 - September 9, 2010
Ya I played for a year myself, it was awesome.
I’m a bigger dude, but have always been quick for my size. One game we started with 2 passes to me playing center ( after 5 secs I could release as a receiver). After that we lined up and the one dude was like “watch the center, he’s got sneaky speed!” Still a joke with my friends till this day.
But we had one game where my team (decently athletic people, but weren’t on organized teams) played some jocks (all had been part of state champ HS teams, Mooney). We all knew eachother and it was intense as shit, we had people ejected on both sides. We ended up winning by one point (2 pt. Conv.) Outside of being in a real game, it was crazy!
Wish I could get back on a team though.
year of the elf - September 9, 2010 via mobile
I have a decent arm, and I’m pretty accurate. Now, I’m only 5’4" and we’re playing with a collegiate sized football, so I can’t throw more than 20 yards probably. But they need a girl and boy QB (it’s a co-ed team), so I guess I’m the girl one. Hopefully next game I have time to actually throw!
emily522 - September 9, 2010
That last sentence sounds like you’re channeling your inner Colt McCoy
year of the elf - September 9, 2010 via mobile
second/third.
i would love to be playing some flag football.
Go AP and Minnesota D!
discoinferno083 - September 9, 2010
Guys! Hurry!
Berrian or Driver!?
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
This is tough….. Driver.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
did it.
London Silly Nannies is going down.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I shall not be held responsible for mental breakdowns if Berrian goes for 70+ yards and 2 TDs.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
You’re wrong my friend.
StuckInPa - September 9, 2010
I’ve got 3 players in this game, so I will be watching.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
I have two so Berrian or Driver?! Help!
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Berrian and Favre never had much chemistry for some reason
That could all change this year, but I doubt it
pl4tinum - September 9, 2010
it could have changed if favre went to TC…
bross09 - September 9, 2010
Berrian.
i see him having a slightly better season than last year with the MIN injuries.
he and driver are both #2 wrs, so it’s a wash. I’d go Berrian just to be excited tonight.
flip a coin and roll with the winner.
discoinferno083 - September 9, 2010
Your reply button working?
And I flipped Driver. I like him with Rodgers.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
yep…plus, I consider him much more of a reliable receiver; in real life and in fantasy.
bross09 - September 9, 2010
I don’t think I’m into having such a high stakes game as the first game for these two clubs when the first game means a lot for each’s moral.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I for one, LOVE IT.
Seriously, if it was Oakland vs. Detroit or something, I
probably wouldn’t be watching.Ok ok, I’d still watch, but it wouldn’t be very interesting.Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
About to start!
Chris Pokorny - September 9, 2010
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
This is super funny
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
Whatever stream I’m getting has a british announcer. It’s very odd.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Ha.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Watching the same one for now. The quality is fantastic though.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
yes, it is quite awesome.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
You guys aren’t in the United States with NBC? Also in the past, NBC.com would stream their games for free; not sure if they’re doing that this year.
Chris Pokorny - September 9, 2010
I don’t have cable and because i live in the middle of a bunch of brick apartment buildings, it’s near impossible to get reception.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
If you must know…. I’m answering natures call.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
hooray Colston!
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
I do love NBC’s football games though. For camera usage and graphics.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
The music too. It pumps me up.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
Let’s throw to Meachem kthxbye.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
every pass to Colston.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Jon Stinchomb is the best pass blocking right tackle in football.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
Why couldn’t that TD been to Meachem?
Damnit.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I’m sure there will be more.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Well, I think I should’ve drafted Drew Brees.
Chris Pokorny - September 9, 2010
Romo better kick some ass.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I passed on him for Rodgers… really hoping I don’t regret that.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
don’t panic yet…
bross09 - September 9, 2010
That was pretty quick
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
Who saves up to buy a Corolla?
And she said she’s buying it for the quality.
Bullshit.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
my stream has got to be european. The lottery is in euros.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
NOOO! There’s efing ants in my room. Great. Stupid california.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
East coast houses get roaches so feel lucky.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
in ohio we get ants, but not roaches, unless you’re really dirty.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
I meant atlantic east coast.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I know, I was just saying what we get in ohio.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
time to get traps.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
I think theyre just passing through. nothing for them in here. vacumed their asses.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
a couple years ago when the japanese beatles hit real hard I vacuumed a bunch up, and then when I went to dump it they all flew away.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
I hate those little fuckers.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
wtf? lol
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
Last year I remember ladbyugs hit Ohio hard (in the fall I believe). I think I heard they were transported from japan…
bross09 - September 9, 2010
they look like ladybugs, but aren’t actually ladybugs.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
oh…
I knew there was a ladybug infestation and I remember hearing they were imported to the US from japan so I just was putting 1 and 1 together and thought maybe we were thinking of the same thing.
bross09 - September 9, 2010
we probably are. Most people mistake them for ladybugs. They have less spots and are slightly orange, but they’re identical otherwise.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
could be. I just heard them described as ‘ladybugs’ when they invaded a year ago (I was reading some articles on them)
bross09 - September 9, 2010
Japanese Ladybird Beetles.
North Coast Flea - September 10, 2010
A lot of things aren’t native to Ohio that are in Ohio.
Those Ladybugs, Carp…
Hell, even our flower, the Carnation, isn’t from Ohio.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
pretty much any plant you would consider a weed was brought over from europe.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Yes but the Carnation was brought to Ohio as an experiment and was let to grow freely on accident.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
same with black squirrels.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
I like the KSU connection. =D
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I have lots of KSU connections. My mom, dad, 2 aunts, an uncle, 2 cousins, all went to KSU
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
And you, the black sheep, said no?
Also, I know a lot about the carnation because my city is the one who gave Ohio the flower.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
haha, my mom works at case, so the free tuition trumps all.
That is interesting, what city would that be?
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Why do you think I go to KSU? ;D They also have one of the best education programs too but free tuition trumps all indeed.
Alliance, Ohio. You know about Mount Union, don’t you? Haha.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
haha oh yes.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
2 uncles, 2 cousins…thats it for me.
bross09 - September 9, 2010
damn it, I need Peterson to start kicking ass next series.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Colinsworth tries his best Madden impression… “Favre is a magician!”
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
I would laugh at that photoshop.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
If only Colinsworth would retire too so I dont have to hear that punk.

Chris Pokorny - September 9, 2010
thanks, but I’m rather enjoying british commercials. It’s the nbc announcers for play-by-play, but everything else is european.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Oh, I see.
Chris Pokorny - September 9, 2010
Some of their commercials are t same as ours, but with limey dub overs.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
same with telemundo (one of two channels I get)
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
I’m aware of that too. It’s funny.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
I’m actually back to my television now, but thanks.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
FYI, this is the feed thing that gives you multiple camera angles to look from.
Chris Pokorny - September 9, 2010
I’m losing 1-0 already.
Damn.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
the favre love is thick already.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
I can taste it through my tv.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I hate Dan Snyder and Jerry Jones.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
The british analysts are much more intelligent than the normal guys on US tv. they know their Xs and Os
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
The in studio guys during the breaks?
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
yeah, they seem much more knowledgeable.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Yeah, they’re cool. They’re less hype and more straight forward.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
they were aware of the importance of the vikings losing their nickle corner/backup safety.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
I have noticed there is a growing niche market in Britain for football and their football literacy has gone up a lot. Did you happen to catch any of their names?
bross09 - September 9, 2010
The Ohio State University is well represented tonight.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
THEE…Ohio State University.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Damn strait.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
You want to know what happens when you miss all of training camp?
Brett Favre’s throwing.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
seriously. it’s noticable.
discoinferno083 - September 9, 2010
That was a great run… all for nothing.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
I need AP to break a few.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
there we go.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Hey, should I drop gaffney and pick up Ginn?
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I’d stick with Gaffney for now.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
That’s a helluva lot of flags already.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
I started Farve over Palmer in my NFL.com FF team. He better step it up.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
Uh, no.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I bet Payton is chewing Juicy Fruit…
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I love Juicy Fruit.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
I like Green Apple from Extra… Which is produced by Wringly’s… Which produces Juicy Fruit.
So I guess me too?
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I do Polar Ice. Covers cig breath really well.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
See, I just don’t smoke.
Much easier.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Much easier to not smoke in the first place than it is to quit. Keep staying clean.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
Always.
I don’t drink the poison drink either.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
cofee?
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
That and alcohol.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
oh, I don’t drink Irish cofee either.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Take the tape off your glasses and you’ll be cool.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
Naw. If my body is going to die from any drink, it’ll be pop thank you.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
and thank you for saying pop.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Fuck soda and potato fries. THEY’RE CALLED JOJO’S.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Soda is way worse than beer for you.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
This is false.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Soda eats your tummy up.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
and makes you really, really fat, unless it’s made with real sugar.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
In moderation or in a controlled manner it’s fine.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
this can be said of almost anything.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
heard of a beer gut?
bross09 - September 9, 2010
No such thing.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
so beer is calorie free?
bross09 - September 9, 2010
Beer gut is a fallacy.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
how? gaining weight from beer is impossible?
bross09 - September 9, 2010
no, the idea that the weight is concentrated in your stomach is wrong.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
that may be true…don’t know where the weight goes specifically.
bross09 - September 9, 2010
Not to the gut, which technically is not a body part.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
THE BEER GUT IS A FALLACY.
Jesus, can you read?
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
LETS HAVE A YELLING CONTEST!!!
bross09 - September 9, 2010
I wrote it caps so you could read.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I could read. I just didn’t know why specifically it was a fallacy, which NTN pointed out.
bross09 - September 9, 2010
I can still drive and drink pop at the same time just fine, thank you.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I used to be addicted to soda.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
I’ve known a couple people like that.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
like 6-12 cans a day. I quit cold turkey a few years back.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
I’ve gotten myself off MD and drink it very every so often.
I drink dark pop a bit.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
md?
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
Dew of the mountain.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Ahhh, I hated that stuff. Looks like cow pee.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
mountain dew throwback is pretty good though.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
No.
It tasted disgusting.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I like the non-syrupy taste myself.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Tasted like Heaven though.
I hate the damn spin off though. All of them.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
not really. its not like beer doesn’t have sugar in it or carbs that can spike your blood sugar.
bross09 - September 9, 2010
well, most beer doesn’t have NEARLY as much sugar, because it’s made by having yeast eat all the sugars. Also, I would be extremely surprised to see a beer made with HFCS
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
I’d assume it’d be terrible.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I might try it, just for the novelty.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
totally agree…might want to try it once (like Golden Wheat, which isn’t half bad) but I would assume the same.
bross09 - September 9, 2010
I like wheat beers quite a bit.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
me too, but not as much as darker beers.
bross09 - September 9, 2010
yeah. beer has natural sugars and less of it…but it still has sugar and poison that slowly will rot your liver if you drink too much of it.
A beer is almost as bad for a diabetic as a can of regular pop (my dad is one).
bross09 - September 9, 2010
Liver’s don’t rot. They regenerate just fine.
And Beer doesn’t have much sugar, the yeast eats it. why do you think they ferment it?
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
then where does the spike in blood sugar and 145 calories in budweiser come from?
bross09 - September 9, 2010
calories come from other things than sugar.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
like fat and protein and other carbohydrates (and even things with low sugar but high in carbs can spike blood sugar too)? I don’t think there is any fat in beer and I doubt there is much protein.
bross09 - September 9, 2010
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
more specifically, think starch.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Ugh, a woman’s thighs worst nightmare.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
You do not get calories from protein.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
actually, you do.
bross09 - September 9, 2010
No.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
we can argue yes or no without evidence all we want, but go to your box of cereal in your cabinet. many of them have something somewhere where it has a measure of calories. it lists fat as 9 and carbs as 4. it also lists protein.
bross09 - September 9, 2010
Do you ever understand how you receive protein from an item?
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
It’s a by product from dissolving the alcohol in the blood. Go to chemistry.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
The calories come from the alcohol.
rebuilding year - September 9, 2010
Not hfcs, but miller is brewed with straight corn in the mash. Bud uses rice. Ends up with more calories than pop, but most of it is from the alcohol itself. That means Guinness has fewer calories than bud.
rebuilding year - September 9, 2010
Beer doesn’t rot ur teeth or metals either.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
Fucks your brain though.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Not in moderation
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
No, regardless, it messes with your brain.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
which is more important, a few teeth or your whole liver?
bross09 - September 9, 2010
Liver grows back.
And technically, you only need half a liver.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
you’re leaving out the effects of caffeine addiction.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
to be clear, Beer is worse, but soda still messes you up.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
definitely.
bross09 - September 9, 2010
This is what gets me but honestly, the caffeine has no more adrenaline effect on me anymore.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
They’re both replacable. It’s ALLLLLL good.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
For 2 mins then gets a new piece when the flavor leaves?
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
two minutes is generous.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Watch America’s Game… Then you’ll know.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
You don’t need to watch America’s Game, you only need to watch 5 minutes of the NFL Network to see the commercial.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
…SHUT UP!
How do you think I know?
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
MEACHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Haha, fumbles the ball, scoop it up, float it down the sideline for a big gain.
Chris Pokorny - September 9, 2010
This is something no Browns QB can do…
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
2.6-1 YESSSS
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
So how about we talk about the football game that’s going on right now, shall we?
I’m loving this defense on the Saints. AP isn’t getting it done.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
much to my chagrin.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Much to your Chagrin falls, Ohio?…
Instantrimshot.com
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
This made me giggle a little.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Does this look like a football blog to you?
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
That depends on whether you judge it by front page content or comments.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
Soda and bugs or GTFO!
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
This is not looking good for my Viking guys.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
same.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
Haha!
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
In my money league I’m playing AP this week so I’m happy with what I’m seeing.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
At least Shancoe is giving me some yards in our league.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
Up 3.2-1
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
AP’s hitting the holes pretty well.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I need AP to get in the end zone.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
56 yards already.
Don’t be greedy.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
My other RBs are Ricky Williams and Felix Jones. I’m going to be greedy.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
…Wow.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
My team is top loaded.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
I took a few waivers and feeling more confident.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
there aren’t any FA running backs that would be better.
notthatnoise - September 9, 2010
I wouldn’t mind a broken ankle instead.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
Or an Adriumble.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Berrian lacks the ability to just bring it in, despite coverage.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
There’s the one Viking I don’t mind at all scoring points. Ryan Longwell, my kicker.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
I was happy too; I’ve got Longwell in the DBN league.
Chris Pokorny - September 9, 2010
Jon Stinchcomb doesn’t hold.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
Defender ripped his helmet off after missing the pick and slammed it against the ground. Shouldn’t that have been a 15-yard penalty?
Chris Pokorny - September 9, 2010
I thought this as well.
I remember this lost us a game a few years back.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Good no call, even if it’s in the rulebook.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
This is a paradox.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Not really, if it’s a rule I don’t really care about and doesn’t have a major impact, than I think it’s good for the ref to let it go and not cost the defense a stop.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
What? Grammatically, that was a paradox.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Right.
Chris Pokorny - September 9, 2010
So, not quite the offensive shootout yet I expected. Still have the second half though.
Chris Pokorny - September 9, 2010
Both of these teams with great offenses have damn good defenses to compliment them.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
So Fujita is laughing his ass off.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010

Whew, great touch pass by Favre to Shiancoe.
Chris Pokorny - September 9, 2010
Shiancoe BABY!!
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
Good call.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
13.6 points so far.
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
YES!!!!!!
Brownie's Year - September 9, 2010
Shiancoe is so money.
Longwell, although is not.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Damn that block cost me a point. But, yeah if it was a block, how do you blame the kicker?
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
Should’ve angled it higher.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Damn Farve
I hate that douchebag.
kingcrimson2 - September 9, 2010
Is Jeremy Shockey always hurt?
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
It’s looking like starting Favre in my other league wasn’t a great idea. I’m gonna probably give him another week, and see how Alex Smith does for a couple weeks.
StuckInPa - September 9, 2010
The Saints D is pretty good.
golanbatrac - September 9, 2010
their O line is doing quite well. :-/
discoinferno083 - September 9, 2010
I’m sorry, but what.the.f&#@ was that Ray Lewis commercial?
Chris Pokorny - September 9, 2010
The dumb Old Spice one?
I don’t know, but he murdered Saturn.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
As much as I hate him, I thought it was pretty funny. If it had been Terry Crews I’d have laughed my ass off.
StuckInPa - September 9, 2010
I love the terry crews ones.
bross09 - September 9, 2010
p-p-p-p-p

discoinferno083 - September 9, 2010
yo dawg
StuckInPa - September 9, 2010
where in pa do you happen to be stuck? i know the feeling.
discoinferno083 - September 9, 2010
Bellefonte. Like 15 minutes from Penn State.
StuckInPa - September 9, 2010
Bradford here…. NW pa…. hr and a half east of Erie.
discoinferno083 - September 9, 2010
Oh, so almost NY. Cool. I always like knowing I’m not alone dealing with all the pittsburgh fans.
StuckInPa - September 9, 2010
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
Yes! That’s awesome. We say that shit all the time.
StuckInPa - September 9, 2010
Punctuation is key here…
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Where did you find this? I have to show it to a friend.
StuckInPa - September 9, 2010
Google Images.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
I keep trying. I can’t find this one.
StuckInPa - September 9, 2010
I searched “yo dawg” in google images and it’s a few rows down.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
Of course it would be that simple.
StuckInPa - September 9, 2010
This is the best one ever, by the way.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
Hahaha awesome.
StuckInPa - September 9, 2010
Amazing.
Fanshot this.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
started watching breaking bad on my CPU
bross09 - September 9, 2010
Great show.
kingcrimson2 - September 9, 2010
yep. I am about halfway through season 2…about the point where badger has some legal problems…
bross09 - September 9, 2010
mmmm.. could be a catch there….
discoinferno083 - September 9, 2010
i have my audio off, but i thought if the ball doesn’t hit the ground…. it’s a catch. incomplete b/c he trapped it?
discoinferno083 - September 9, 2010
the Saints are picking these guys apart. Ridiculous.
And this is a good D.
discoinferno083 - September 9, 2010
I want more points out of Longwell… but I definitely don’t want Peterson to rack up more yards.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
I want more points out of Hartley, that’s not going well.
StuckInPa - September 9, 2010
I’m rooting against Brees, Bush and Berrian.
golanbatrac - September 9, 2010
I hate Chris Collinsworth.
StuckInPa - September 9, 2010
“A Welker type”
So what…. every white receiver is a Welker-Type now? Michaels would deny it, but the only reason he made the comparison is because they are both white receivers.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
Both Welker and Camarillio are slot receivers. Also, they both played in Miami.
golanbatrac - September 9, 2010
That may be true but had I’m not buying that as Michaels’ reasoning. “A Welker-Type” c’mon now… that refers to ex-Miami slot receivers? Nope, not buying it.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
Well, Welker is the current prototype at that position; the best in the league the last few years.
golanbatrac - September 9, 2010
So, the requirement is that you be white?
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
I’m not convinced. I agree Welker is the best slot receiver in the league. Percy Harvin, for example, is a much more prevalent (compared to Cam) up and coming slot receiver and Michaels has announced games in the past (and this one) without ever calling him a “Weker-Type.”
The truth is, he made this comparison because they are both white.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
Why do you think Edelman is welker’s backup?
White.
Furrey. White.
Jurevicious. White.
(I like instigating.)
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Pierre Thomas has given me 12 points. I went with Aromashodu over Meachem.
emily522 - September 9, 2010
Correction: 14
emily522 - September 9, 2010
Looks like the old gunslinger should go back to hunting ’dillas.
kingcrimson2 - September 9, 2010
That was a boring game.
golanbatrac - September 9, 2010
I tuned out after the second half.
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
first half*
SpecialBrownie - September 9, 2010
Agreed. The first half wasn’t to bad.
Definitely not as exciting as last seasons’ opener.
Simmsinns - September 9, 2010
yeah…unfortunately it didn’t quite live up to the hype. Still, football is back. Thank god.
johnnyphoenix - September 10, 2010
So I spent all of the time from half time to now doing astronomy homework (I’m still not done) but out of curiosity I looked up the volume of the universe on wolfram alpha. Part of our homework was using some simplifications to come up with an equation for the volume of the universe out to a given distance.
That’s not important though. What’s important is that it’s almost 4am and I now know that the volume of the universe is roughly 10^82 bushels.
notthatnoise - September 10, 2010
And here I thought puzzling over SharePoint workflows at 4 AM was peculiar….
RelapsingDawgCatcher - September 10, 2010
if you’re interested, that’s approximately 35×10^82 liters.
notthatnoise - September 10, 2010
The mind boggles.
RelapsingDawgCatcher - September 10, 2010
Funny. I was working on astronomy as well. Basic stuff, though.
StuckInPa - September 10, 2010
I love Wolfram alpha.
Good thing I never have to take math again though.
