Montario Hardesty Out Two Weeks With Twisted Knee

According to the OBR, Cleveland Browns running back Montario Hardesty will be out of action for two weeks with a twisted knee. Hardesty did not participate in practice, so the injury must have occurred beforehand.

That should give another advantage to Jerome Harrison, who is competing with Hardesty for the starting role. Hardesty will miss the Family Fun Day session next Saturday, and probably the team's first preseason game as well.

We'll have a recap of the first morning session of training camp a little bit later on as more information starts flowing in.

Did Hardesty have knee problems in college? I know he got hurt a lot, but was it the knee? If so, is this something we may have to get used to like we had to with Winslows nagging injurys?

At least according to Mangini, it doesn’t have anything to do with his previous injuries… I hope so. I twisted my knee one time when I played football, and I’ve never had knee problems or anything. So I’m hoping it’s just one of those things that can happen to anyone and not something that was made easier to happen to Hardesty because of his other injuries.

He tore an ACL in college, I believe. Don’t know which one. A “twisted” knee doesn’t sound like it would have anything to do with the ACL. He has played at least one full year since the ACL.

That said, it does sound like he is banged up a lot.

That long groan you heard from Dayton came from our house as I read this an hour ago. Amazing. Actually not when considering his injury history. I have a feeling his talent ( when healthy) will be great. Whether he holds up through the season remains to be seen.

but does this have anything to do with previous injuries?
