After the draft officially ends, teams can start going crazy to sign anyone that didn't get drafted. If there is a certain player that the scouting department thought was a "gem" that no one else would draft, they'll grab them right away. So, who have the Browns signed thus far? Check it out after the jump...

Undrafted Free Agents Signed by Cleveland Browns
As more signings come along, we'll report them here. This website here does a good job trying to form an NFL-wide list of the signings.

thanks for the info!
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
You can add Indiana tight end Troy Wagner.
Dan Kadar - April 24, 2010
it says we got Jon dempsey LB, Louisville
lightninmcqueen - April 24, 2010
Jonny Dempsey

UL is my hot hot sex - April 24, 2010
Keep any updates you guys find coming…if possible, try to include a link/source to where you found the information. I can’t access Dempsey’s Twitter account, so I still need to verify him.
Chris Pokorny - April 24, 2010
Dempsey is now listed on that blog you linked at the top. Does that count?
OOTer - April 24, 2010
probably shouldn't b/c they updated it based on an anonymous source in the comments section
UL is my hot hot sex - April 24, 2010
Still a few ranked WR projects out there. Hope we get one or two.
Namely:
Alric Arnett, W.Va. – burner w/ route skills.
Stephen Williams, Toledo – burner w/ good hands and a 3 yr. starter.
Freddie Barnes, Bowling Green – raw project w/ hands like glue.
Other positons of interest:
DT – Jeff Owens, Georgia – some injury concerns but an absolute beast when able
TE – Jeff Cottam, Tennessee – Hardesty’s lead blocker and just as tough. H2M love their UDFA TE’s
Scott Sicko, New Hampshire – maybe the the most polished pass catching TE in draft. Who in Cleveland wouldn’t love to have his replica jersey?!?!?!
G – Still 3 or 4 good ones from some top OL’ s in the country. They are slipping my mind right now. 3 days of this has my cookies a little crispy but I know they are there.
QB – Jarrett Brown, W.Va.; Tim Hiller, W. Mich.; Bill Stull, Pitt. (my fave) ; Riley Skinner, W.Forest – why not get another, just in case?!?!
ATH – Jameson Konz, Kent St. – WR /H-B /LB. Kent has a knack recently for sending these guys to the NFL.
STAY TUNED, THE FAT LADY’S STILL EATING HER BLIMPIE!!!!

joe haden gets trucked by greshem
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lExI_Z-yxxQ
vottoholic - April 24, 2010
I posted that earlier. At least Haden got him out of bounds?
rufio - April 24, 2010
true
vottoholic - April 24, 2010
i really wouldn’t call that “trucked”… Gresham fell off almost as hard as Haden did. either way, at least he doesn’t shy away from contact
sww2109 - April 24, 2010
Gresham is massive, who cares if he takes out a corner?
Roger Dorn - April 25, 2010
exactly. haden gives a lot of effort and looked better than most corners would look going up against a 250 pound TE
bross09 - April 25, 2010
260+
rufio - April 26, 2010
oh. I wasn’t sure the exact weight of gresham.
bross09 - April 26, 2010
To be fair to Haden, Gresham is kind of a freak.
rufio - April 27, 2010
yeah. most corners would get owned by him (maybe not Ronnie Lott or Night Train)
bross09 - April 27, 2010
…and then pops right back up.
Monsters of the Midway - April 25, 2010
I couldn’t help but comment on the Creed.
Brownie's Year - April 25, 2010
Was that not one of the most blatant holds ever? That guard was dancing.
Brownie's Year - April 28, 2010
Konz was drafted
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
i wanted Jameson Konz, but he was drafted by the seahawks in rnd 7
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
Freddie Barnes would be an interesting pickup. I don’t know much about him but I know he was very productive at BG.
Also, we don’t need to sign another QB. We have 4 right now and it’s really hard to get reps for more than that in training camp.
Buckeye Brad - April 24, 2010
Yeah, Barnes would be a good pick up.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Nvm, the Bears got him.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
yes to Barnes please. Would love to see what he can do in camp.
talonk - April 25, 2010
I believe Freddy had very slow 40 times – not sure he ever cracked 4.6
realmccoy - April 25, 2010
You and these damn 40 times.
SpecialBrownie - April 25, 2010
it is questionable if he will be able to create separation against NFL competition at all.
bross09 - April 25, 2010
Knoz got drafted in the end of the 7th
deibson84 - April 25, 2010
how about WR Ryan Wolfe out of UNLV? I would take a chance on him based on his name alone.
da36chamberz - April 25, 2010
Watch the draft, Konz was drafted and Freddie Barnes and Stephen Williams already signed
Troy Hammersmith - April 25, 2010
konz got drafted
at QB, only skinner is still unsigned but Stull only has a tryout and not as official of a contract as the others.
Cottam I believe has signed with the bengals (search his name on google news and multiple sources pop up)
Owens was drafted and sicko has decided that he doesn’t want to play football. all the receivers have contracts too.
bross09 - April 25, 2010
I dare you to google image search Riley skinner without safesearch
TheRealSlimShady - April 26, 2010
haha…I actually searched him and a pick popped up with him shirtless that was just cut off in the right place…
bross09 - April 26, 2010
homo
TheRealSlimShady - April 26, 2010
phobe
Roger Dorn - April 26, 2010
It was just a joke cuz I told him to
look it up, calm down
TheRealSlimShady - April 26, 2010
Prejudice.
SpecialBrownie - April 26, 2010
but it wasn’t particularly funny…if a joke is somewhat offensive and prejudice and most people don’t find it particularly funny, either it is an offensive statement or just a terrible joke.
and I said
which meant the picture ended before you saw his crotch…if you didn’t get that joke. I dunno how that makes me a homo though…I am not offended, I am confused at the point of saying homo.
bross09 - April 27, 2010
Failed joke, my bad calm down. I’m not prejudiced agaisnt homosexuals, I swear.
TheRealSlimShady - April 27, 2010
yeah. I figured you weren’t a homophobe but just making a bad joke.
bross09 - April 28, 2010
I still hate the word homophobe. I mean, are racists racaphobes?
( I’m not saying I have a problem with homosexuals )
TheRealSlimShady - May 1, 2010
I don’t get it
Roger Dorn - May 2, 2010
I don’t either.
Because phobe means you have a fear. Racist says nothing about a fear.
This kid must do terrible in grammar
SpecialBrownie - May 2, 2010
People that are against homosexuality aren’t ‘scared’ of homosexuals.
TheRealSlimShady - May 2, 2010
this is a generalization.
racism is defined as believing one race is inherently superior. If homophobia purely equaled racism, then all people with this held belief would feel like gay people were inherently inferior.
From some of the things I have heard people say about gays, this is definitely not true, all feel like they are inherently superior.
A great example of a “true” homophobe is Mel Gibson. He thinks being gay is wrong and disgusting, but he has stated that he does not look down on them and does respect people that he knows that are gay. however his comments show a blatant homophobic opinion.
Some that are labeled with homophobia may just be people who have racist thoughts about gays, that they are inherently inferior. many others are just have a pure irrational dislike of gays…much of it stemming possibly from xenophobia in a person, because many I have met that are homphobic also have very xenophobic tendencies.
bross09 - May 3, 2010
But it doesn’t sound like he is SCARED of them, that’s what I’m trying to say.
TheRealSlimShady - May 3, 2010
And I have an ‘A’ in my honors English class, BTW, so…
yeah, I do terrible
TheRealSlimShady - May 2, 2010
Ohh, honors English huh? Big whoop. The most you do is probably read, not learn grammar.
SpecialBrownie - May 5, 2010
an A in HS honors english does not a literary genius make…
More relevant evidence would be my A-/B+ (first semester A-, 2nd B+) in an AP level english course…I am surprised at how well I did in that class honestly
bross09 - May 8, 2010
The suffix “phobe” doesn’t necessarily constitute fear.
While the root word “phobia” comes from the greek phóbos which literally means “morbid fear”, the suffix can also be applied when something precipitates a strong aversion that isn’t necessarily caused by a fear.
The best example is the word Hydrophobic. This can describe a person who has a fear of water, but it can also describe a non-polar molecule that has a strong aversion to water molecules because the polar molecules in a mass of water repel non-polar molecules (the reason why Oil and Water don’t mix).
In this case, it does make sense to describe a person who has a strong aversion to homosexuals as a “homophobe” though fear may have nothing to do with either the aversion or the “homophobe” label.
jaws. - May 2, 2010
Patriots link is great ! Thanks for the info C.P. !!!!
theotherJimBrown - April 24, 2010
Reinders is a total horse
check him out on youtube.
allday28 - April 24, 2010
big man! there was a video of him at the CFL combine on blocking drills and it looked like he struggled a bit
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
he's only played for 2 years, so i guess the browns are hoping to coach him up.
you can’t teach size, footspeed
allday28 - April 24, 2010
If they drill the fundamentals into him then this guy could be the future right tackle, a total beast! He was swatting D-Linemen around like flies! That’s 320 lbs. of muscle!
dawgtribe - April 26, 2010
That site mentions Auston English, DE, Oklahoma, but without a source I’ll wait.
Chris Pokorny - April 24, 2010
English is an interesting rush linebacker, 18 sacks the last 3 yrs at Oklahoma. good size, 6’3", 250
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
I added the confirmation link. Still waiting for one on Dempsey.
Chris Pokorny - April 25, 2010
English is pretty beast, along with reinders, he just throws dudes around
lightninmcqueen - April 24, 2010
yeah. english is interesting. his problem was staying healthy and I worry he has lost some speed. however, he has a very high motor and was considered a possible high draft pick after a 9 sack sophmore season.
bross09 - April 25, 2010
QB Tim Hiller, a guy I like, went to the Colts. Not that we need a QB, but I just noticed it…
I know we just got two safeties, but I wouldn’t mind signing Jeromy Miles. 6’2", 215 lbs out of Massachusetts. He ran a 4.49 40. Sporting News is high on him, and also here is CBS Sports’ analysis. It’s not like Mike Adams, Mike Furrey, and Nick Sorensen should keep us from signing any UDFA that we like.
Matt Y. - April 24, 2010
Miles went to the Bengals. Oh well.
Matt Y. - April 26, 2010
who did curt colemen go too, he isnt with the eagles on that page
lightninmcqueen - April 24, 2010
Coleman was drafted by the Eagles.
Bernie19Kosar - April 24, 2010
Man I was hoping we’d sign Pettrey as UDFA. Dawson is geeting really long in the tooth and short on his FGA.
Hopefully we pick up anther PK somewhere.
talonk - April 25, 2010
Did someone else grab him? I was thinking the exact same thing.
ahowie - April 25, 2010
he signed with Carolina
talonk - April 25, 2010
actually phil dawson’s range has increased over the course of his career.
notthatnoise - April 25, 2010
amazingly, this is true. he seems to have picked up an extra five yards somewhere. roids?…hahaha
rockybrown - April 25, 2010
that was my first thought the first time i saw him kick a touchback…
notthatnoise - April 25, 2010
oh ok thanks bernie
lightninmcqueen - April 25, 2010
this link has Austin English listed as a Brown’s UDFA
http://nflnr.com/2010/04/undrafted-free-agent-signings/
deibson84 - April 25, 2010
The Bills snagged Donald Jones from YSU this kid is a beast
deibson84 - April 25, 2010
He seemed lost at the senior bowl
TheRealSlimShady - April 25, 2010
He wasn’t invited on day 1 he was added a few days into the week. Being a native of Youngstown i can say that this may be the best player not named Jaworski to come out of YSU
deibson84 - April 25, 2010
Better than Jeff Wilkins? That guy has a Super Bowl ring.
Buckeye Brad - April 25, 2010
Jeff Wilkins was a kicker not a player lol. I actually know Jeff Wilkins personally as we both went to the same high school and he had my company pave his driveway last year. Jeff is a class act.
deibson84 - April 29, 2010
Dace Richardson is still available. I remember when he came out of high school he was the top Offensive Lineman being recruited
deibson84 - April 25, 2010
^^^^^^^^^^^^
get this crap out of here.
deibson84 - April 25, 2010
What?
Buckeye Brad - April 25, 2010
Schizo?
Brownie's Year - April 25, 2010
there was a spam link up here earlier
deibson84 - April 25, 2010
Just hit the “actions” button, then “flag”, then change the drop-down menu to “spam”.
rufio - April 25, 2010
Yeah, some spam bots are getting through. I set the waiting period for new members being able to post back to 0 days again, with hopes to recruit some new members from the draft coverage. It’ll go back to 1 day some time this week.
Chris Pokorny - April 25, 2010
According to that website you linked:
Chris Chancellor, CB, Clemson
Woot woot!
emily522 - April 25, 2010
English has potential but could never stay healthy.
TheRealSlimShady - April 25, 2010
yeah. I read that he was considered a possible second rounder after his sophmore season. I think he could be a very good player if healthy but I wonder if he lost a lot of speed. he has a high motor but only ran a 4.76 at his pro day.
bross09 - April 25, 2010
I’m not these guys biggest fan, but it is surprising that Donovan Warren, Jeremy Williams, Sergio Render, Colin Peek, and Brandon Lang weren’t drafted
TheRealSlimShady - April 25, 2010
I thought Ciron Black, Danario Alexander, Tony Washington, Vince Oghobaase, and Adam Ulatoski might be drafted too.
Bumblyjack - April 25, 2010
I guess I’m a little higher on (bad) offensive linemen than NFL teams are.
Bumblyjack - April 25, 2010
Danario’s knee problems are pretty serious, disappointing but makes sense that no one would draft him.
Roger Dorn - April 25, 2010
Ohgobasse was a 2nd rounder before this year. So was black
TheRealSlimShady - April 25, 2010
According to this website, here is the complete list of UDFA’s for the Browns.
Browns
Auston English, DE, Oklahoma
Casey Bender, OT, SDSU
Jon Dempsey, LB, Louisville
Chris Chancellor, CB, Clemson
Troy Wagner, TE, Indiana
Joel Reinders, OL, Waterloo
Willie Walker, DE, California (PA)
Eryk Anders, LB, Alabama
Daniel Howard, DE/LB, Texas Tech
Bernie19Kosar - April 25, 2010
a lot of these are really nice players too. you should list anders as a DE/LB or just OLB. LB makes people think possibly that he is an inside player but anders is a pass rusher.
bross09 - April 25, 2010
I cant believe Warren went undrafted. How do you go from a 1st round pick to being undrafted after the combine
The Licensed Pessimist - April 25, 2010
being a CB who runs a 4.6 +
jaws. - April 25, 2010
When was he ever looked at as a first round pick?
gahnki - April 25, 2010
This preseason by some
TheRealSlimShady - April 26, 2010
I don’t see the problems with Ciron, I mean he seems like he would make
a good guard or RT. He looked solid in senior bowl practice FWIW
TheRealSlimShady - April 25, 2010
Sicko done
According to one report Sicko told the Cowboys no he was quitting football cause he did not get drafted. Something about getting more education dam like there is life without football or something.
Suppa Bob - April 25, 2010
This kid just has a gigantically bruised ego. He’s whining and throwing a once in a lifetime chance away all because he doesn’t have the bragging right of being drafted. Jones basically guaranteed him a roster spot too. The kid’s stupid.
SpecialBrownie - April 25, 2010
out of the guys I have found info on, these are some guys who might be good
Reinders (massive guy with a body like veldheer who got drafted high b/c of his size)
Eryk anders (supposedly ran a 4.53 and is a pass rusher who wasn’t bad against the run and stood up last yr)
Chris Chancellor (undersized but a smart scrappy corner)
English (talented guy who had injury problems)
Casey Bender (nice size and experience)
some of the others such as Daniel howard have decent measurables but never really cracked the starting lineup or contributed that much…they could emerge but the guys I listed I think will be the guys that have the best chance at contributing.
bross09 - April 26, 2010
This might not be the thread for it…
but can we please please have a punt on Adalius Thomas since the Pats cut him?
He may not have fitted in the Pats 3~4 but i think Rob Ryan can find something for hi to do on the field…
LondonBrown - April 26, 2010
I would guess that he is headed back to Baltimore.
Bernie19Kosar - April 26, 2010
maybe NY?
notthatnoise - April 26, 2010
It does look like the Jets are going out to get everyone at the moment.
LondonBrown - April 28, 2010
plus he was successful under rex ryan in baltimore, why not follow him to NY?
notthatnoise - April 28, 2010
I don’t see it. Baltimore has Suggs, who is good, Johnson, who is ok, and they picked Kruger last year and Kindle this year.
TheRealSlimShady - April 26, 2010
I wouldn’t ever put it past Ozzie to collect another talented LB.
rufio - April 26, 2010
He did start playing well and adjust at the end of the season.
bross09 - April 26, 2010
Additional College FA signings
This link has best info for last 2 years
http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/p/2010-nfl-undrafted-free-agents.html
Browns
Nekos Brown, DT, Va Tech
Greg Boone, TE, Va Tech
Justin Hannah, CB, Tuskegee
Auston English, DE, Oklahoma
Casey Bender, OT, SDSU
Jon Dempsey, LB, Louisville
Chris Chancellor, CB, Clemson
Troy Wagner, TE, Indiana
Joel Reinders, OL, Waterloo
Willie Walker, DE, California (PA)
Eryk Anders, LB, Alabama
Daniel Howard, DE/LB, Texas Tech
Scotty Robinson, DE, ECU
Toddrick Pendland, RB, Mcneese State (Tryout)
Brad Jones, DB, Cinci (Tryout)
James Develin, DE Brown (Tryout)
Leigh Tiffin, K, Alabama (Tryout)
Keith McDaniels - April 26, 2010
I really like a lot of these pass rushers. English has legit talent and Howard has some nice talent too. Anders had 6 sacks and was decent against the run, actually playing as a stand up 3-4 LB with alabama. Tiffin would be a great guy for kickoffs if we have room for him on the roster.
I am not sure where robinson fits in a 3-4. He isn’t that explosive and bulked up to about 275-280 pounds (still small for a 3-4 end) for his pro day and was pretty slow.
I like reiders size too.
the one interesting guy to me is Pendland. he has drawn comparisons do darren sproles and is a very quick guy with good speed and COD ability and can help on ST and in the return game.
I dunno how fast develin is but he put up I think over 40 reps in the 225 BP
bross09 - April 27, 2010
according to NFL.com the Browns have only signed Casey Benders
http://www.nfl.com/draft/story?id=09000d5d817c7137&template=without-video-with-comments&confirm=true
deibson84 - April 27, 2010
After a little bit of research, we may have gotten up to 4 roster fills for this year, 3 role players for the future, 2 back up/ spot starters and maybe even a starter. Purely subjective and optimistic, of course.
The 4 roster fills i see are Auston English, DE/LB, Okla. : Eric Anders, ILB, Ala. ; Chris Chancellor, CB, Clemson ; Joel Reinders, OL, Waterloo (Can)
The 3 role players for the future would be English for his pass rushing ability, Anders because I feel we we are still thin at ILB, and Chancellor if he can add 10-20 lbs. without slowing him down. He was the strong side corner on the # 7 pass defense in the nation.
The 2 back up/ spot starters mentioned may be Reinders who is a beast of man and I had actually seen a report on him about possibly being signed prior to the 2009 draft!, and Chancellor (see above). Add English if he can ever get fully healed from an unspecified injury that statistically slowed him the past two years. Was a 1st team All-American in 2008, I believe. May have heard more of him this year if not for the strength OU’s d-line and draft class.
As for the future starter I can’t help but to root for the Canadian and I believe Holmgren had a couple starters from Canada in GB, too. Again add English here for the same reasons stated above.
theotherJimBrown - April 27, 2010
I agree, English is an intriguing prospect is he can stay healthy.
Bernie19Kosar - April 28, 2010
These are probably my favorite guys too.
I agree on english and he showed legit talent. the one worry I have is that maybe he isn’t as fast as he was when he was an all american b/c of injury. still, he can be a solid role player and has a high motor. I believe though that he might have been an AA in 2007 b/c that was his sophmore year when he had 9 sacks. even that season though he got injured but he had 9 sacks in his first 9 games.
I love Reinders size and he is a monster. If chancellor can add some weight, yeah that would be great.
I believe Anders was a situational pass rusher at alabama but the guy had a great 2009 season. He was relentless at getting to the QB and had only 5 sacks, but 17 QB hurries…He has great speed (ran a 4.53 supposedly at about 240 pounds) and even when he doesn’t sack the QB, caused great pressure. he also played the run well and I think he is a great find with experience in a 3-4
In about 2 seasons (26 games, but 12 as purely a 3rd down player) Anders recorded 90 tackles (18 for loss), 7.5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, 23 QB hurries…
in just this season where he was a full time OLB, he had 65 tackles, 5 sacks, 17 QB hurries, 3 forced fumbles, 2 passes broken up, 1 int and 13.5 tackles for a loss…basically he just makes plays.
