Today is the final day of the NFL Draft, featuring Rounds 4-7. The draft should kick off at 10:00 AM Saturday morning. For reference, here are the picks the Cleveland Browns have remaining:
Have fun discussing the final day of the draft! I might not be here until noon, which may be in time for the sixth round.

No fourth round picks. Gunna be a slow morning.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Hey B.Y., Any thoughts on the WR’s that are still out there. Briscoe should be gone by the time we pick & Mike Williams looks like trouble. What about Carlton Mitchell or Mardy Gilyard?
badrat - April 24, 2010
We should stay away from any WR named Mike Williams.
Gilyard is ok. Don’t know much about Mitchell. There is a bunch of good WRs left out there. I do like Titus Young (WAC homer). Not sure if he’ll even be drafted though.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Titus
Titus Young is still a BSU Bronco this year…next year, though, would be awesome to see him joi the Browns.
pourfavor - April 24, 2010
Here is a list of needs and player I hope we consider today:
Eric Norwood LB
Mardy Gilyard, Blair White, Mike Williams WRs
Myron Rolle, Kurt Coleman, Kam Chancellor, Barry Church S
Everson Griffin, Corey Wooten, George Selvie DEs
bellar - April 24, 2010
Like your list for the most part- really would like Rolle but not sure Mike Williams fits our SAT mold. He was suspended in 08 and quit the team in 09
badrat - April 24, 2010
Saw Barry Church quite a bit over the past few years. He is always around the ball. Would love him in the 6th
mich_n_trum84 - April 24, 2010
I just woke up, turned on the tv to see when the draft started, and was pleasantly surprised.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
It’s right now, baby.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Anyone hear Mike Mayock’s voice?
Bumblyjack - April 24, 2010
HAHA He sounds like Bubble from Trailer Park Boys.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Yeah, Bubbles. He sounds like him.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
I hope that the Browns don’t trade up into the 4th. Someone will slip into the 5th that we like; please don’t mortgage the future for this.
gahnki - April 24, 2010
i would like to see us start trading this years picks for picks next year. except maybe the 5th, still good value left there.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
That’d be great.
gahnki - April 24, 2010
aint no party like a 7 am Draft party
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Is Thaddeus Gibson still on the board?
rose_11 - April 24, 2010
Did NFL buy the arena league? What was that comercial about.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
ESPN owns part of the Arena League
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
I’m watching NFLN.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
first time all draft I have the option of doing this; although their professionalism may not be as entertaining as having Herm Edwards on ESPN.
rolub - April 24, 2010
The last couple days were crazy around here. The site was lagging, big time.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Workout warriors are starting to lose their draft value; Bruce Campbell finally goes in the 4th to Oakland.
rolub - April 24, 2010
Bruce Cambell gone. Good thing Raiders didnt spend their #8.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Wow, Raiders doing work this morning.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Holmgren on NFLN in a couple mins!!!!!!
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Fill us in, I only get ESPN
badrat - April 24, 2010
Oh, sorry. He basically said that Haden was their guy at 7. Hardesty will be their bruiser. And that they weren’t even thinking about McCoy until that pick. They took him because he was still there.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
mentioned the reported package offered to STL for #1 was exaggerated (not most of 2010 and some 2011 picks).
rolub - April 24, 2010
Thanks
badrat - April 24, 2010
damnit.. really wanted corey wootten!!
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
Herm has lost his damn mind
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
rolub - April 24, 2010
BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
FUCK EDWARDS!!!!
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Wow. Patriots get Gronkowski and Hernandez. Interesting.
Browns town - April 24, 2010
funny SBN post… http://www.mockingthedraft.com/2010/4/24/1441299/al-davis-thinking-nfl-draft
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
i really liked pitta too. would have liked to have him
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
odd the Ravens drafted two TEs
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
yeah, no kidding. in back to back rounds at that?
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
got to say I thought DQwell would have been on another team by now
The Brown Note - April 24, 2010
Good call. I was thinking that yesterday.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
I think Gibson’s gonna be good
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Well, there goes Gibson, and to the Steelers no less. Weak.
Browns town - April 24, 2010
don’t worry, he’ll be on the Jets in a few years
Bumblyjack - April 24, 2010
both gibson and Worlids, pass rushers I liked, went to the steelers…
bross09 - April 24, 2010
Jets could use McKnight and Leon Washington on the field at the same time
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
First pick from OSU? That’s insane.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
their better talent stayed in school
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Makes sense. I have them as the champs this year. And I’m not a Buckeye fan.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
We (OSU) also went VERY young as a team ever since 2007-2008. In few years from now, we’ll be more aged and seasoned team.
Simmsinns - April 24, 2010
Rd 4 is the TE round, apparently
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
I should go hit golf balls or something. We’re not picking for a couple hours.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Sigh. We have to wait so long for the Browns to make a pick.
Browns town - April 24, 2010
I’ll just leave this here…

notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
mel kiper is going to defend jimmy clausen to the death. he’s implying if jimmy isn’t starting this year, its because the coaches are dumb, not because jimmy isn’t ready.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Jimmy doesn’t like misunderstandings.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
If they don’t first see what they have in promising Matt Moore, they’re stupid. Jimmy can wait. JMO
Matt Y. - April 24, 2010
kiper called our 2nd round pick, tj ward, the biggest reach in the draft so far
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
sadly, i agree with him
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
never mind that tim tebow guy
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Ummm, nothing was a bigger reach than tebow at 25.
superbacker56 - April 24, 2010
well, it depends how you define “reach.” tebow was gonna be drafted by buffalo in the 2nd round so if denver wanted him they had to find a way to trade up. however, i dont think anyone was looking at drafting TJ Ward till at least the 3rd round, probably the 4th
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
You can’t know that.
Matt Y. - April 24, 2010
obviously, NONE of us know anything. that’s why these are draft “projections”
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
a “reach” is all about value. The Bills drafting Tebow in the second would still of been a reach because Tebow is not even a second round talent. Ward, was a bit of a reach but nothing close to Tebow.
superbacker56 - April 24, 2010
The Broncos had Tebow in for 6 hours on Monday and watched him on the field and at the chalkboard. I think McDaniels might have a better idea than you.
Matt Y. - April 24, 2010
I have seen some people that said ward was a mid to late 2nd round talent…is it that much of a reach then to pick a guy 15 picks early if he is your guy and you can’t trade?
bross09 - April 24, 2010
Alualu
Matt Y. - April 24, 2010
But this whole talk about “reaches” and “steals” is sort of silly. First, we won’t know until they get on the field and play. Second, the way we’re defining “reach” is “someone who went way ahead of where the media and bloggers in their mom’s basements thought he should.” The NFL guys thought differently, and they should know better than us.
Matt Y. - April 24, 2010
Precisely.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
which is to say, beyond the top 20 or so, discussing reaches and steals is an exercise in futility.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
right
Matt Y. - April 24, 2010
exactly…and every analyst and scout has a different opinion…though i heard none say that alualu should have been that high (but i heard from some and read a couple sites that had ward as a solid 2nd rounder)
bross09 - April 24, 2010
What’s wrong with my Mom’s basement?
Bernie19Kosar - April 24, 2010
even if its true, we got one of the biggest steals in McCoy.
troy145 - April 24, 2010
This makes me feel better about the pick.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
haha same
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
If McShay said it…
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
eagles take kafka?!?!
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
guess they’re not 100% on Kolb. I wouldn’t be
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
They need a backup for when vick leaves.
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
its a developmental qb
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
but why are they developing a qb when kolb is so young still?
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
having too many QBs is a good problem
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
oh yeah, forgot how good that worked out with Anderson and Quinn
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
The problem was that they both suck. It was not that there were two QBs. Vick/Schaub, Brady/Cassell – those were not bad problems. Quality backups can step in when there is an injury, and can be traded to teams who need starters.
Matt Y. - April 24, 2010
exactly
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
3rd day picks aren’t expected to start and become the franchise guy.
rufio - April 24, 2010
reach…i know its arbitrary to call reach in later rounds, but I just don’t see mike kafka as being anything special…ever.
bross09 - April 24, 2010
And shot Thaddeus Gibson falls to us at 160? I don’t think it’s very likely, but I can hope.
Also, if he does fall to us, will we pick him?
Simmsinns - April 24, 2010
he already got drafted. by Pittsburgh
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Ah, just noticed. Big sigh. Well…. if he does well, I’m going to have to hate him.
Simmsinns - April 24, 2010
You should hate every Steeler. Good or bad.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
What are you talking about? The worse a Steelers’ player is the more I like him and hope to see him on the field against us.
North Coast Flea - April 24, 2010
steelers picked him …. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/drafttracker?tag=globalNav.nfldraft;fastFacts
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
What pick are we on?
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
125
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Thank you.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
A little late but, Raiders took Jocoby Ford, now that’s more like the Oakland
Simmsinns - April 24, 2010
we know.
Simmsinns - April 24, 2010
Damn. I liked ford.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
Poor guy.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
29 picks to go. Would like to see Carlton Mitchell still there.
Browns town - April 24, 2010
That is who I am hoping for, big-fast kid
badrat - April 24, 2010
i never heard of him before, but just looked him up and was projected as a 3rd rounder. sounds like a good option
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
Nice.
Bernie19Kosar - April 24, 2010
we going after a WR or a DE? I am thinking those the two most likely options
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
why not both?
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Nice.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
good foresight
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Mike Neal, DE Purdue…Riley Cooper WR Florida….Blair White WR Mich St are in play I think. Maybe a pass rusher, Ricky Sapp OLB Clemson?
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
Neal was gone in the 2nd round.
rufio - April 24, 2010
Ricky Sapp is still out there. Wouldn’t mind that pick.
Browns town - April 24, 2010
sapp just went to philly
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
Scratch that. Eagles just got him.
Browns town - April 24, 2010
Mangini compared Ward to Lawyer Milloy in his press conference today.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
I could live with Lawyer Milloy.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
Out of all the positions I would trust Mangini on, secondary is number 1.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
What do you think of Rolle?
badrat - April 24, 2010
6th round talent
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Great kid, but a little too slow for my liking. Thinking his pedigree has elevated his status beyond what he deserves football-wise.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
never hurts to have someone that smart on a team. Might be good in the nickel
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
maybe…if they replace all the games with an academic challenge…if that is the case, I am trading a first rounder for fitzpatrick.
bross09 - April 24, 2010
has some big hitting highlights on youtube
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
I’m happy with the pick.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Didn’t Heckert compare his intelligence to Brian Dawkins yesterday as well? A player with comparable characteristics to both Milloy and Dawkins? Yes please.
Browns town - April 24, 2010
He is like Polamalu coming out of USC. great against the run but raw in coverage.
jaws. - April 26, 2010
So we have a WARD who likes to destroy opposing defenseless players.
Hm, uncanny resemblance. But he’s the Browns version so it’s cool.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
but at least those players are part of the play, not on the opposite side of the field.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Id like to see Stafon Johnson in a Browns uniform
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Dude. We’re good on RBs
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
I know. Its a selfish desire.
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
i think he will be an undrafted free agent
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
Mel Kiper is so annoying and stupid.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Kiper was late coming back from the last break, think he was beating off to Clausen highlights on youtube
badrat - April 24, 2010
Jimmy, meet Jimmy.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
So the true reason for the black eye is revelaed!
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Maybe McShay got mad
badrat - April 24, 2010
Im tellin ya, Browns better than Lafevour.
troy145 - April 24, 2010
NFLN reporting Jets have teaded Leon Washington to the Seahawks.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
makes sense. McKnight is a younger version of Leon
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
I would hate to play for the Seahawks.
Shudders.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
DAMMIT! Pitt got Gibson!
emily522 - April 24, 2010
They love tainting OSU player’s glorius futures…
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
After doing more research on Hardesty, Im more comfortable with picking him
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
i like the pick, we need another running back beside harrison
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
We already had four. Just saying.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
jennings or davis could be sent to the practice squad or released by opening day
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
Idfc about Jennings.
Harrison, Hillis, Davis, And the new dude is just fine.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Quantity is not necessarily equal to quality.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
That’s not what I said or meant.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
We also already had three quarterbacks.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
Once again, not what I freaking meant
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
and how many of those guys had the potential to be a great feature back in the NFL?
bross09 - April 24, 2010
Hardesty might get more carries than you think. If Harrison was the real deal, he would have played more. Mangini may not like him.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Eric mangini:
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
talking about McCoy of course
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
its good to have something to fall back on if football doesnt work out
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Seriously, how can anyone not like Mangini?
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
Haha yeah that was pretty funny.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
McCoy did say he like Cleveland because it’s blue collar, just like him.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Ask kwoog
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
I’ve repeatedly said I like him as a coach. I like the discipline he adds, I love the accountability he enforces and the organizational structure he displays in every detail, from OTAs through the 16th game.
I’ve had two complaints: his handling of QBs and his poor 09 draft. Since he’s neither a QB guru nor a personnel man, and since we’ve added one of each, I think he can succeed.
kwoog - April 25, 2010
Fair points. I want to see how the QBs are going forward, I am starting to believe that the failure of handling the QBs was a failure of the QBs themselves.
Roger Dorn - April 25, 2010
The last point is certainly possible, but putting people in the best (or even good) position to succeed has a lot to do with their eventual output.
kwoog - April 26, 2010
15 picks away, i’m guessing a wide receiver…Riley Cooper, Florida…Blair White, Mich St….Carlton Mitchell, South Florida
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
i think it will be a DE. we could use some youth there.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
i agree also there, 6th rounder…Mike Neal, Purdue
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
NFLN reporting Oakland and Washington discussing Jason Campbell.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
What pick did we get for the Corey Williams trade?
Nuclear Power - April 24, 2010
I think it was a 5
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
So… who does everyone want with our next pick?
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Didn’t Ohio State have an, apparently, undervalued Tight End in this draft? That wouldn’t be a bad pick at this point.
Otherwise, project ends and nose tackles, or take a flier on Blount.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
If Gibson was their TE, he’s gone
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
You’re an idiot right?
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
I dont give a fuck about the Buckeyes
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
All I know is some nutsack from OSU went this morning.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Your obsession with nutsacks is amusing.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
colontrack
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Get used to it.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Ballard.
I will so take him.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Yeah, that’d be nice.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Yeah, that’s the guy. At one point, someone here had me convinced that he would be a good value pick in the fifth.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
B19K
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Could be.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
Ballard is going to be a UFA. Nobody’s going to throw a draft pick at him.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
USC has on e too. Anthony McCoy. good player.
allowing for my bias, of course
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
any playmaker…but i think they will go with a receiver
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
Yeah I wanna see a WR w/ this pick.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
I want TE
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
I’d be happy w/ either
emily522 - April 24, 2010
But we already have three tight ends!
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
I will virtually smack you so hard across your face
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Excellent.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
i sense a new DBN meme
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
this article makes me like Joe Haden a lot, not just as a football player:

notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Haha yep!
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Panthers fan’s status on my fb:
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Alan Faneca officially cut.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Wow, there’s the issue with taking available good talent. Sooner or later, the better talent has to be cut.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Lacks the speed that Holmgren said he wants to go get but Briscoe has the best skill set of the receivers left
CLEnationOSU - April 24, 2010
mel kiper just mentioned the pick i am thinking…Carlton Mitchell, South Florida, 6-3, 215
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
What about that Freddie Barnes guy from BGSU? 6th rounder?
emily522 - April 24, 2010
I like his hands, but he has very mediocre speed (mid 4.6) and got a lot of separation b/c of the offense that BG ran (which was still the urban meyer spread in a form I believe). I just don’t know how he can create separation in the NFL and his ability to beat the press.
I think Naaman Roosevelt is a MAC receiver with more upside. he has more quickness, vertical agility, and speed. He has more of a chance to create separation than Barnes in the NFL, IMO.
bross09 - April 24, 2010
cant believe they cut faneca. he must have some injury issues that we’re not aware of? last thing i knew, he was still a very good run blocker?
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
Yeah. Think it was more how much he was owed
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
$$$$$ + age.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
Yep
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
They have too much talent/ Faneca is collateral.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Money. Tannenbaum is a horrible GM.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
They’re this year’s Redskins.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Exactly.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
i dont see him being a free agent for vey long
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
he’ll have to take quite the pay cut
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Which is why he was cut. No one wan’t that contract
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
sounds like the type of guy that goes to the patriots for his last 2 or 3 years?
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
I imagine he wont have much choice, now
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Pats drafted the guy from Dude, Wheres my Car at punter. Hail Zolatan
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Zoltan!
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Anyone besides me surprised that Dwyer is still on the board?
Brownsyup - April 24, 2010
Yes
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
a little yeah
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
No, I knew he wasn’t any good.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Ah, c’mon. He’s alright.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
I’d say he’s better than Hardesty and without the bad knees.
Brownsyup - April 24, 2010
no way
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
This.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
way
Brownsyup - April 24, 2010
no way!
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Wabbit season!
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
It’s like shooting turkeys.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Why turkeys? Because their gobblers look like nutsacks?
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
hahahahaha
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
They cant fly. They just sit there, asshole.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010

Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
damn… shit just got real
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
off the hizzy
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Now it’s funny again.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
I’m fucking sick of that dude.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
You should be more worried of why nutsacks don’t make you sick.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
oh no! *shaking.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Oh well at least you shake it. Heaven forbid the shake fairy comes for you.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
OK Browns are almost up. Let’s talk about that before I ban myself. :)
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
afterward though!
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
The first action is imposible and the second act is impossible if he’s attempting to do the first act also.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
not if you can bend over far enough
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
You’d still have to be a marsupial.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
Or a shark.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
or Cartman’s mom
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
They disproved that. He has a father.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Duck season! FIRE
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
No. This time, wait till you get home.
Brownsyup - April 24, 2010
i was hoping we could continue the “No way / way” argument for a while, but this is funny enough that i’m not disappointed.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Yes way, no waying…
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Heh… gotta love this place.
Brownsyup - April 24, 2010
no way
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
WAY!
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
I’m kinda stunned. Dude’s a good bruising runner; they must know something we don t
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
mel kiper just mentioned the pick i am thinking the Browns select…Carlton Mitchell, WR, South Florida, 6-3, 215
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
You’ve already said this…
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Dear ESPN…..playing a U2 song during a promo is the least effective way possible to get me to watch something
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Skelton to the Cards.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
That was my guy.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
Are you going to pull a TRSS now?
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Good lord, no.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
i like that you were terrified by the mere suggestion.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Skelton off the board to AZ.
Brownsyup - April 24, 2010
Sorry, DA…
And Leinhart
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Leinhart doesnt care. he gets to keep partying while drawing a fat paycheck
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Thats Jamarcus.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
you dont understand the concept of positional depth?
rockybrown - April 24, 2010
I wonder who’s going to take LeFevour. Maybe Buffalo?
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Buffalo has had a terrible draft.
Nobody beats Denver though. Straight terrible.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Buffalo’s only good pick is Spiller IMO. But you never know. Some people are ripping our picks but I like them.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Spiller wasn’t good for them though IMO. They could’ve done much better.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
True. I guess I’m a little bias, though. I still think he’ll be good.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
I like Spiller a lot but I wonder how he’ll do on snowy or rainy days—which he’ll see a lot of in Buffalo.
Brownsyup - April 24, 2010
he’ll destroy in domes, though
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
He reminds me of Chris Johnson. I think he will be special.
realmccoy - April 24, 2010
i think spiller is gonna turn out to be pretty good. they’ve been trying to trade lynch for the past few weeks too.
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
Buffalo had some major needs and they were kind of set at RB with Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson
The Brown Note - April 24, 2010
Seattle has had a good one.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
2 more!
emily522 - April 24, 2010
c’mon Anthony McCoy, TE USC
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Schefter reporting that Redskins have traded Campbell to Oakland for a fourth round draft pick.
In 2012.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
i hope that was a joke
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Poor guy.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
I feel so bad for him. =[
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
his career never really had a chance.
rolub - April 24, 2010
No way.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
What a fucking steal for the Raiders.
DisplacedBuckeye - April 24, 2010
yep, just made the raiders a lot better
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
Way
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
no way!
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Not making this up.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
if this is true, i would have loved this instead of seneca wallace.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
And now the Browns are on deck.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
im guessing we go defense?
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
I can’t wait for Madden 11 to come out now. I’m happy they’re making it for PS2.
Random, I know.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
especially now that drew brees is gonna be injured, lmao
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
I like that article on Haden posted by noise above. I didn’t know he came into college as a QB and had never played corner. Even with that he NEVER allowed a TD pass in 40 starts!?! He also could have played WR but didn’t because he would have been behind Harvin. So looks like one of those Patriots-like versatile players broad game knowledge and outstanding athletic and learning ability.
Brownsyup - April 24, 2010
Yeah I really like that pick.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
also means moving to S wouldnt be a big deal
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Yeah. You can definitely say he is a quick study.
Brownsyup - April 24, 2010
Plus, he’s loyal. He turned down the opportunity to be a starting QB at many big time schools (including Ohio State) in order to play for Florida.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
Are you ready??
No, DBN…ARE….YOU..REEEEEEEEEEEADY?
iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiits DRAFT TIME

Brownsyup - April 24, 2010
pick is in
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
where did the bar go!
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
We drafted the bar.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
that’d be cool
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
It’d be good for seeing in game scoring
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
eagles take riley cooper
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
holy crap a safety
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Another safety? Why?
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Larry Asante, S, Nebraska
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Nice.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
Asanta the Assassin! Love it, this guy is physical.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
I like the nickname.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
why why why are you kidding me?
nickmar19 - April 24, 2010
He was a heckuva player at Nebraska.
realmccoy - April 24, 2010
what? Asanta is sick
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
larry asante, safety
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
WHY A SAFETY!? UGH.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Dont get it. Dont get it at all
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
SS PLATOONING!!!
Brownsyup - April 24, 2010
Cambell to Oakland! WOW
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Late.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
I was outside, fucker.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
But we already have safeties!
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
Even you have to see this was a bad pick
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Why? Because we have other needs? Do you think we have to fill every need we have during this draft? Or that it’s even possible? What’s wrong with building a deep secondary?
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
I just think 3 out of 6(?) picks going to the secondary is a little much. I would’ve liked a TE here. Or something Offensive.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
why a TE? we have 3 guys there already. if you didn’t like the Asante pick because we already have so many people in the secondary, you shouldn’t say you want a TE.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Dude, why the fuck does everyone keep mis quoting me on that. It’s annoying.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
i’m not talking about that. we have Watson, Moore, Gaines, Estandia, and even Robert Royal. if you think our secondary is crowded, tight end is even more so.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
As bad as our secondary was last year, we probably should have taken nothing but DBs.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
Agreed. Loving this draft.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
I’m not convinced that we even NEED a tight end. We signed Ben Watson and we have Evan Moore and Greg Estandia coming back. not to mention Robert Royal.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
Only half of those players are good. With only one being proven.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
we have just as many good DBs as TEs, the difference is on most plays you use 1/4 as many TEs as DBs.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
in the 6th round, you are not usually drafting to fill a starting role, but for depth. we really only had 2 guys who wouldn’t give me nightmares for months if they played safety. they were elam and Adams. I don’t want adams as more than a backup though. sorenson is pure ST. assante is likely a backup SS who is a monster too on ST and can play on D fairly well for a backup
bross09 - April 24, 2010
Apparently he’s a good tackler. But I don’t get this pick.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
i’m not in love with the pick, but its not awful. we have Elam and Ward. Why not have a good backup? (sorry, Mike Adams doesn’t count)
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
’zactly
Matt Y. - April 24, 2010
Elam, Ward and Asante are all SS we really needed a FS
deibson84 - April 24, 2010
Ward played FS
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Indeed, his profile makes him sound like a SS though.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Haden can probably play FS
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Again, why would we draft the best shut down cover guy in the draft and then move him to safety?
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
Shut down safety duh.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Mangini comparing him to Milloy makes me think that they see him as a Strong Safety.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
Ward and Elam will probably play interchangeable roles. If I had to guess I would think that Ward is actually better deep, which is a waste of his best talent: hitting people in the mouth.
rufio - April 24, 2010
ward is a FS or more of a hybrid FS/SS. so is elam. he is not a guy with terrible range at SS, and is pretty balanced.
bross09 - April 24, 2010
Elam isn’t a FS at all. He is more of a run stopper.
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
elam can cover a good amount of ground in zone coverage for a SS and is above average in man. He has a high motor and hits hard…he is similar to assante who is a FS but can play either FS or SS in the pros. you don’t have to have that in the box safety and that pure coverage safety. if you have 2 that can do both fairly well, it gives you versatility.
bross09 - April 26, 2010
Elam is better coming forward. Unless he takes big steps forward (which is certainly possible), he is below average in any kind of coverage.
rufio - April 27, 2010
*moving forward, as in, not having to turn and run downfield or stay with people in and out of cuts while they move laterally. As in keeping things in front of him then attacking.
rufio - April 27, 2010
I agree with this. Elam I feel is very good keeping things in front and reading and reacting. I don’t think all of our problems at safety are solved, but I am not too worried about both elam and ward in coverage…espcially since our corners will be much better which means maybe less pressure for the safeties to need to cover over the top to cover up mistakes by guys like McDonald.
bross09 - April 27, 2010
My thoughts exactly. They shouldn’t have to cover over the top nearly as often with Brown/Haden/Wright in coverage.
Kimble_79 - April 29, 2010
yep. I never really want to see sorenson on the field except for ST. assante can also contribute right away on ST
bross09 - April 24, 2010
I think Sorenson is gone.
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
I dunno if he is gone or not, but if he is, it is purely on ST. if he is gone, that means the browns had only 2 safeties on their roster and you usually want to have 4. I think thats is mainly why they got asante…depth.
bross09 - April 26, 2010
Man I guess Holgren and company think our secondary needs A LOT of help. Can’t really blame him. Never saw so many totally wide open receivers as this year. All I can say is if you are in the Browns defensive secondary you’d better start packing.
Brownsyup - April 24, 2010
Scouting report
Sounds fine, but why? We got one in the 2nd round. Wow.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Take best player available, not because we have supposed depth (which we actually have none at safety)
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
Mike Adams might be a good guy, but I want him on the sideline if possible.
rufio - April 24, 2010
We are moving in this direction.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
i guess we wanted a SS and a FS
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
abe elam is NOT very good
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
What did you say, Walter?
160. Larry Asante, S, Nebraska
A Round 3-4 safety prospect, Larry Asante is a much better value here than T.J. Ward was atop Round 2. (Pick Grade: A)
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Larry Asante
Muscular physique. Nice athletic ability-can open up stride in open space. Plays physical with aggressive temperament. Good run defender-hits well with force. Takes good angles in pursuit. Good closing burst. Plays the ball well in front of him. Consistent effort and good work ethic. three year starter
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
also
Range is just average. Not a fluid mover, lacks hip flexibility. Can be overagressive and miss some tackles in
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
From the NFL’s website
Monsters of the Midway - April 24, 2010
which is fine for a 6th rounder really (or 5th…I forget where we got him)
bross09 - April 24, 2010
FWIW
Pro Football Weekly had Asante ranked ahead of Major Wright and Morgan Burnett
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Just saying, I bet Suh made this kid look a lot more better than he is. But I could just be blowing stuff out my rear end.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Another SS when the big need is FS i think one of the CBs may be moving to FS
deibson84 - April 24, 2010
Steelers got one from OSU, one from Clemson. Damn them.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
NFLN guys like Asante a lot.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
I’d like to see a WR or TE in our next two picks.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
why a TE?
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Because Estandia and Royal aren’t good. Duh.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
This.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
ok, so you’re saying you want to draft a guy to be the third string TE but you didn’t understand drafting a backup safety?
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
No correlation.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
why not? a 3rd stringer at one position is better than a 2nd stringer at another?
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
No, I get it now. I was just confused at first.
Plus, I’d rather get a WR than TE.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
i will admit being confused at first as well. i would really like to see us take a DE.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
but we have 3 other TEs…
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Moore is injury prone with limited experience.
Gaines is almost purely there to block.
Watson is the only proven one.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
and a 5th round rookie would be behind all of them.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Not neccisarily TE’s are almost always better in late rounds.
You don’t get them in 1st or 2nd.
And Moore was a practice squad player.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Tony Romo was a practice squad player
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
kurt warner was bagging my groceries
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
Yay?
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
and what? late round TEs are usually better than early round ones?
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Usually. Like the Pettigrew pick last year was bad.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
I just mean that late round TE’s hold just as much value but at a much lower price. You know?
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
WR would be good, but we’re running a bit low on them at this point
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
what did millen say?
RyanBr - April 24, 2010
Rams will take some Fendi, On a bun
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
At least we can say all pre-season that the secondary is crowded. WTF?
Nuclear Power - April 24, 2010
why is lefevour and pike still on the bord?
nickmar19 - April 24, 2010
They might be UDFAs
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Because nobody has drafter them yet.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
this
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
2 more until we’re up again!
emily522 - April 24, 2010
i dunno why are they still on the board?
Suppa Bob - April 24, 2010
Maybe we’ll draft another QB now that all the safeties are taken.
Nuclear Power - April 24, 2010
nah maybe we could use some more running backs…cuz who needs receivers
nickmar19 - April 24, 2010
I was torn between safety and running back….
Nuclear Power - April 24, 2010
If we draft another defensive back, I am going to lose my mind.
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
anybody else think we need a pass rushing DE/LB? I know we got Chris Gocong, but he isn’t proven.
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
Browns on deck.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
we need a push rusher or WR
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
Blount could work…who would we cut?
Nuclear Power - April 24, 2010
Hold on to your brain stems, people, here we go. Are there any safeties left?
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
YYESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
nickmar19 - April 24, 2010

bross09 - April 24, 2010

Big target!
Matt Y. - April 24, 2010
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Only 1 more pick…what do we take?
emily522 - April 24, 2010
DE
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
this is guy is 6’3, 215 has has big play speed and has been compared to donald driver in his prime. good pick by the browns
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
Heckert and Holmgren know how to wait…which is a tough thing to do.
Nuclear Power - April 24, 2010
guy runs a 4.4 cant complain with that
nickmar19 - April 24, 2010
Why is he is so low in the draft?
Nuclear Power - April 24, 2010
knocks are not good at getting seperation; hands are average-tends to let the ball into his body too much
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
kinda sorta fixable enough
nickmar19 - April 24, 2010
PFW
“Set receiving records as a freshman but bulked up and lost a step.Could easily develop into a No. 3 receiver.”
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
anybody else notice all of the Defensive Lineman the Ravens have drafted? Ngata and Terrence Cody on the same line? this frightens me
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
Our line is still clearly better than anything they can put together.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
They’re going to need them all if they plan to get by Joe Thomas. Joe Thomas is out somewhere fishing and not giving a rip how many defensive linemen the Ravens take.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Sit your ass on the bench Robo??
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010

A natural plucker?
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
I like the sound of all of this.
golanbatrac - April 24, 2010
I’m guessing we take Jamar Chaney next
The Licensed Pessimist - April 24, 2010
Chaney would be a good pick for us
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
Sorry, who’s that?
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Jamar Chaney is a 6’1" 250 lbs LB from Miss State.
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
rep is good athlete, bad instincts
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Walter had us taking him I think. In like the 3rd.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
This could turn out to be the best pick for the Browns. Mitchell was considered by some a 2-3 round talent
deibson84 - April 24, 2010
Look at his rating based on NFL.com 7.1 that is higher than T.J. Ward, Hardesty and Asante
deibson84 - April 24, 2010
that would probably be grading on pure physical skills then. I like Mitchell though but I don’t think he was that high on most people’s boards. even most experts didn’t have him really until the third.
bross09 - April 24, 2010
Hell of a pick, guys.
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
Damn straight, Mr. Panther.

TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010

SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Mr. Panther-Bronco.

BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010

Suppa Bob - April 24, 2010
Value Bob, Value
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Yeah he looks excellent for where we got him I am not very patient at times.
Suppa Bob - April 24, 2010
At that spot, he’s worth a shot.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Bears take LeFevour.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
Meh.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
After all, they already have quarterbacks.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
Indeed.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
They could use him. Fer sure
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Good pick
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Good pick
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Ouch.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
I would love to give Mel Kiper and Todd McShay both a spear and a shield and watch them fight to the death. I got $5 on Kiper.
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
Mel’s right on this one
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
What are they arguing about?
emily522 - April 24, 2010
LeFevour
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
His hair doubles as a battering ram.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Or a eye blinding substance.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
At least McShay could adapt during the fight
Nuclear Power - April 24, 2010
there goes my boy. this highlight real showed alot of pretty throws
nickmar19 - April 24, 2010
They could throw Mike Mayock in there and he could take them both out with his bare hands.
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
Mayock owns McShay and Kiper
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
he eats their lunch AND drinks their milkshake
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
does he tell them odoyle rules afterwards?
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
Does he put fake candles up to their ears and taddle on him the minute he does something?
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
he beats them up on the beach in front of Elisabeth Shue
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
LeFevour was a good value pick for the bears
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
yes
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Didn’t the Broncos draft a center in the third round?
Matt Y. - April 24, 2010
Yes maybe they can move one to gaurd
deibson84 - April 24, 2010
True. I’m seeing reports that Olsen could play guard, down the road sometime.
Matt Y. - April 24, 2010
Here we go. Last pick.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
has kurt coleman from OSU been drafted yet….i hope so, because if not the browns want to draft every safety left on the draft board.
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
Is he the TE?
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
someones not a buckeye fan
nickmar19 - April 24, 2010
Coleman is a Saftey from Ohio State
deibson84 - April 24, 2010

nickmar19 - April 24, 2010
agh..the typos, the typos!
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
haha sorry getting careless
nickmar19 - April 24, 2010
mitchell can def work his way up to a #1. remember, marcus colston was a 7th round pick out of Hofstra by the NO Saints.
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
when did MoMass post a 4.66 the slowest time i had on him last year was 4.54 and that was the slowest time i recorded with my own stop watch during the combine and tape of his pro day
deibson84 - April 24, 2010
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2009/profiles/mohamed-massaquoi?id=80664
nickmar19 - April 24, 2010
well i had him at 4.54
deibson84 - April 24, 2010
Boldin – 4.7
I guess he would be our #4 if we had him
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
Speed does not a receiver make.
North Coast Flea - April 24, 2010
SEA gets their USC player
emily522 - April 24, 2010
GREAT pick. so underrated.
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Browns on the clock.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
Here we go!
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Clifton Geathers of South Carolina, DE
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
He was arrested for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Who hasn’t?
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Joe Thomas. Cops are too scared.
Chief WaDrew - April 24, 2010
plus he’s incapable of getting drunk; alcohol doesn’t effect steel.
Dawg Nuts - April 24, 2010
Joe Thomas is not made out of a perishable object my friend.
He doesn’t oxidize. He’s titanium.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
hope i don’t get pancaked for this. maybe he’ll realize it was a mistake.
Dawg Nuts - April 24, 2010
Touche
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
I’ve heard of this guy.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
finally a DE
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
Geathers rep….inconsistent but gigantic
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
high upside guy in the 6th round with 2-3rd round physical talent but only about 7th round production…projected in the 5th…another shrewd pick
bross09 - April 24, 2010
There’s the D lineman. And that’s it for the Browns, isn’t it, unless they start trading future picks?
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
anyone know anything about him?
nickmar19 - April 24, 2010
6-6 3/4 297 lbs.
deibson84 - April 24, 2010
no idea
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
another big guy will he beat people up and take their lunch money?
Suppa Bob - April 24, 2010
nice a 3-4 DE to replace an aging Robaire Smith
deibson84 - April 24, 2010
Highlight vide
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8uCPzHnWk4
gentryholdem - April 24, 2010
wow hes kinda quicker then i expected, i wish we wouldve taken an LB but this is a decent pick
brandeezy09 - April 24, 2010
Their dark jerseys don’t even have their last names on them.
They’re all words of wisdom and crap. That’s awesome.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Nothing about USC is awesome.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
I thought it was cool.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Clemson and USC are rivals, so that’s why I said it haha.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
rec
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
Nevermind, I thought you were talking about the real USC.
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
You can look at it both ways haha.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
wow i never heard of that, that is actually really cool
brandeezy09 - April 24, 2010
It was for a promotion with the military.
I think they wore them for two weeks or so.
Bernie19Kosar - April 24, 2010
its nice to see your 6th round pick wreck tebow a couple of times. it makes you feel good
bross09 - April 24, 2010
BIG CLIFFFFFF
brandeezy09 - April 24, 2010
There are some character concerns that need to be checked out.
Suppa Bob - April 24, 2010
6-8 and 281 pounds, the brother of CIN Bengals DE Robert Geathers…he attended Hargrove Military Academy in high school.
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
I have him at 6-6 3/4 and 297 lbs. he is a 3-4 end with long arms to get off blocks but is inconsistent
deibson84 - April 24, 2010
That’s why the name sounded familiar. Had heard of Robert
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
Same here
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
that was the last line I read what does that mean?
Suppa Bob - April 24, 2010
emily522 - April 24, 2010
What are we going to talk about for the next few months now, guys? Haha.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
critique the draft
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Why we should have drafted Colt in the second round.
Bernie19Kosar - April 24, 2010
I smell a Devil’s Advotcate!
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Haha, no I was just being sarcastic.
I can’t remember who said it, I think it was Chris, but if you switched some picks around, this draft would have been the best a Browns fan could have hoped for going into this.
Bernie19Kosar - April 24, 2010
I’ve got some things up my sleeves. Hopefully.
rufio - April 24, 2010
geathers article - arrested
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
The Steelers just drafted another rapist.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
ALLEGED
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
SCAB! SCAB!
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
maybe the steelers have been peaking at the bengals penetentiary draft board?
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
The Steelers just grabbed Jonathan Dwyer. This could be a steal
deibson84 - April 24, 2010
Steelers are such hypocrites.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
The Steelers should change their name to Stabbers and sign OJ Simpson and Rae Carruth while they are at it.
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
Ray didn’t stab anyone.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
He hired someone to shoot two people.
They should trade for Ray Lewis though.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Right on, I had the wrong murder charge/felony. lol
hazi59 - April 24, 2010
I messpelled Rae. I know who he is.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
And misspelled ‘misspelled’.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Love both the Asante and Carlton picks. I was wondering why Asante was still on the board, but another guy that can play the run well and is not afraid to lay the wood. There is definitely a theme in this draft.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
and yes his nickname was the Assassin at Nebraska.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
Carlton? You mean Clifton?
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Carlton Mitchell. Larry Asante is the assassin.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
Oh, the WR. Nvm.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
+1
realmccoy - April 24, 2010
He was even able to match up on the WR as a CB at times. I love this pick – I honestly believe he will be better than Ward.
realmccoy - April 24, 2010
Yea, I also watch the Big 12 mainly when it comes to college, and I was always impressed with him.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
Really like the bottom half of the draft. Assante was a heckuva a player on a top notch college defentse. The WR looks like a specimen, and the DE looks good and is a perfect positional play. My only disappointment is the 2nd round. We had to give up 3 players for 1 on Hardesty and I really do not think the safety will contribute much.
realmccoy - April 24, 2010
Kiper compared Mitchell to Brandon Marshall in terms of what kind of WR he profiles as. Another tall WR for the Browns.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
Awesome.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Robo and Mass better turn it up this year.
realmccoy - April 24, 2010
Should I change my user name to ColtMcCoyisBeast? lol
emily522 - April 24, 2010
No.
JimmyClausenIsAPussy…Literally.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Hahahaha. Don’t really like using that word, but that made me crack up.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Well, he is a cat afterall.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Its bad luck.
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
Haha it is. I was jk though.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
Why do you think Eminem sucks now?
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
When did he not?
North Coast Flea - April 24, 2010
False.
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
Coming from a metal head, Em is freaking sick.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Good sick or bad sick.
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
It was a weak joke.
Eminem has bad rhymes.
SpecialBrownie - April 25, 2010
bad as in good.
SpecialBrownie - April 25, 2010
Do it baby.! :) That would be awesome.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Well that was fun I gotto go its almost 10pm here in babylon
Suppa Bob - April 24, 2010
…Damn.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
Good luck in Iraq.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Once again, hell of a pick. Good job in the 6th round.
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
Denver is having one of the worst drafts known to man, my friend.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
BUT TEBOW’S A WINNER
emily522 - April 24, 2010
One of the worst: no
Very very bad: yes
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
I don’t think it’s quite that bad.
They brought in a lot of nice young offensive talent, and their cornerbacks were good value for the 5th and 7th rounds.
Matt Y. - April 24, 2010
ESPN complaining that Rolle is being downgraded because of his “commitment” is a joke. They need to look in the mirror for propping up his status higher than his actual talent warranted.
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
ESPN sucks. Hand’s down.
NFLN dude.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
I live in New York where crappy Time Warner has monopolized the city and refuses to negotiate for NFLN
Roger Dorn - April 24, 2010
Bummer. I love watching their marathons of America’s Game and Top 10 best (enter football subject here). And their version of SC is great. Especially when Rich Eisen is the host.
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
I don’t have NFLN either.
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
Like what we did today.
I think Geathers is a great fit for us. Massive size and he is lean. Anyone who can carry 290 and look skinny is a beast.
I have no problem taking more DB’s. Our defensive backfield was an absolute joke last year. We had a WR start for us at times. Injuries happen and now we have three DBs to throw against the wall.
Ward is deemed a reach, but I think if he can stay healthy, he can end up being a good player. Watching him on tape, he has a physical nature about him and doesn’t seem to mind sticking his nose into the fight. Maybe it is just wishful thinking, but the guy reminds me of Brian Dawkins. Maybe it was the green uni’s.
Mitchell seems like he is a very good value, and adding some talent on the outside is always a good thing.
Bernie19Kosar - April 24, 2010
bross09 - April 24, 2010
Good picks today
The Licensed Pessimist - April 24, 2010
holy shit, you liked something!
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
Truth
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
Myron Rolle to the Titans. interesting. hes like the anti-Pacman Jones
BringBackKosar - April 24, 2010
I guess CAR isn’t sold on Matt Moore if they drafted Clausen and Pike.
emily522 - April 24, 2010
i don’t think anyone is sold on matt moore. they would have kept Delhomme if the price hadn’t been so high.
notthatnoise - April 24, 2010
I believe they are still paying Delhomme.
Monsters of the Midway - April 24, 2010
AND PIKE?!
SpecialBrownie - April 24, 2010
They’re just seeing if something will stick.
woodsmeister - April 24, 2010
Still, I don't like bringing in 2 QBs at the same time. Too much distraction.
gentryholdem - April 24, 2010
The last time a 2nd and 6th rounder both were taken…Oh shit Green Bay!
The worst part is that I’m a Louisville fan so I liked Brian Brohm.
TheRealSlimShady - April 24, 2010
Oh crap. They got Pike too? I went to get new tires.
That’s a very interesting choice.
Brownie's Year - April 24, 2010
Anyone catch OSU’s spring game?
rufio - April 24, 2010
I have it Tivo’d so I can go back and convince myself that Soloman Thomas is the greatest pass rusher ever to walk the earth.
Bernie19Kosar - April 24, 2010
Anything else happen? I saw Pryor was 8-12 at about 9YPA, with Guiton also looking good.
Any young guys stand out? Any of the bigger DEs/DTs look good outside of Simon, Larimore, and Heyward?
DBs outside of Torrence/Chekwa?
rufio - April 24, 2010
Speaking of late-round QBs, I’m a fan of Sean Canfield, the Saints’ pick. I’ll keep an eye on him but for the next several years he’ll only get on the field if Brees is injured, and only then if he can win the #2 QB job.
Also, Jevan Snead has to be regretting his decision to come out after his junior year. Undrafted! I wonder why he came out.
Matt Y. - April 24, 2010
LeGarrette Blount went undrafted.
