Mel Kiper's Mock Draft 2.0 was released on Wednesday, representing his pre-scouting combine report.
He has the Browns going along the right lines with the selection of Florida cornerback Joe Haden.
Joe Haden*, CB, Florida
Haden has the chance to be a top-five player at his position very quickly. He also fits an immediate need for Cleveland and is easily the top cornerback on the board, a player it can plug in from day one. A deft cover corner and great tackler, Haden is the total package.
The selection does not stray from Kiper's first mock draft, when he also had the Browns taking Haden.
Meanwhile, Kiper has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selecting S Eric Berry with the third pick in the draft, putting him in the same class as Troy Polamalu, Ed Reed, and Bob Sanders.

Screw ESPN Insider.

Anyone know the best loophole and/or workaround?

paying for it.

I’m already paying for an ESPN Magazine subscription (great bathroom reading), more just seems out of hand. I don’t want to fall in their trap with Insider (Meaning, I know I’ll never bring myself to cancel it).

You get a free ESPN the Magazine subscription with Insider so it really won’t cost you any extra if you already get it.

If you already have the ESPN Mag, you have insider.
Go to the sign up page and enter your subscription number (it is on your address tag on the front of your subscription magazines).
It should allow you to sign up for an account without paying an extra.

Is CB the Browns top need ?

DB in general.
SpecialBrownie - February 21, 2010
I would argue QB, but think DB is most likely selection at 7.

a top corner does give the opportunity to take more chances on defense with the front seven. best corner or safety makes sense to me.
