Hopefully Jake Delhomme can hold on to the Browns' halftime lead.

So a challenge and we’re already against the ropes.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
This is going to get overturned.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
buuuuuuuh
johnnyphoenix - November 28, 2010
Wait. You can review penalties? Since when?
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
That turnover by Moore is looking even worse right now.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
That was an ugly looking play. It had fumble or int written all over it.
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010 via mobile
What is the challenge?
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
That the receiver stepped out of bounds and came back in.
StuckInPa - November 28, 2010
That Lafell didn’t go out of bounds.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
That he didn’t step out of bounds.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
That he never went OoB, this is the first time I’ve ever seen a penalty challenged.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Throw bottles on the field?
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
hehe, I remember that game. We were right.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
THIS
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
This is what I thought of too.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Looking pretty shaky. Can’t let Carolina comeback after having such a productive lead.
Heavysoviet - November 28, 2010
Did he have possession though? Looks like the ball is a little wobbly
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
We’re screwed.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
In former Browns news: James Davis has 6 carries for 11 yards for Washington right now.
And thus far, he’s the leading rusher.
And McNabb’s the problem?
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
So yeah, it was 21-7 just a little bit ago…
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
I told someone that when Jake started throwing horrible picks while healthy I would change my opinion on starting him.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
IMO he doesn’t have posession.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
refs got it right, the ball wobbles out of control
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
yup.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
YES!!!!!!!
emily522 - November 28, 2010
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
LOL. Wonderful outcome.
Heavysoviet - November 28, 2010
Torry Holt shut up.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
He’s a receiver he’s going to side with his peeps.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Right. Besides, I think he’s doing a pretty good job for geing his first game. He’s make some good observations about the game, which is what I want from an analyst.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
That’s a relief.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
YAY NOW EVEN BETTER
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
How is Torry Holt failing to see that that ball hit the ground?
woodsmeister - November 28, 2010
Because that other dude told him it was good.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Periea(sp?) is a douche. I’ve yet to agree with anything he’s said.
StuckInPa - November 28, 2010
And that other dude was head of NFL referees. Good thing he’s retired now.
woodsmeister - November 28, 2010
Haha, good outcome cuz now it goes to 4th down instead of 3rd.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
MISS!
Thank God right now, Delhomme. Don’t screw up again.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Nice kick!
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Fox’s face was hilarious when the ref said “however”.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Alright, we need to stop gettnig lucky and win with OUR PLAY.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Run ball down Panthers throat. Win game.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Less passes, more Hillis. Let’s get it done!
Heavysoviet - November 28, 2010
Make Browns’ fans happy.
StuckInPa - November 28, 2010
THIS.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Is there some sort of rule that Jeff Triplette has to officiate every browns home game?
johnnyphoenix - November 28, 2010
Heck of an effort by that WR, but the refs got the call right. Fortunate to have a FG miss, but Kasay’s range isn’t that good anymore back there.
Chris Pokorny - November 28, 2010
Ref: It’s a catch… SIKE!"
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Let’s capitalize now.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Let’s capitalize now.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Let’s capitalize now.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
OH GOD DAMNIT. FUCK MY LIFE.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
FUCK YOU, DELHOMME.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Delhomme, get your ass off the field.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Jake Delhomme being Jake Delhomme.
woodsmeister - November 28, 2010
NO MORE FUCKING PASSES!!!!! ARGH
Heavysoviet - November 28, 2010
Delhomme sucks.
We’re going to lose this game.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
I have no words.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Wow
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Thanks. Put Wallace in now!!!
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
This game should be a blowout for the Browns by now.
Time for Wallace.
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
:-/
Chris Pokorny - November 28, 2010
Okay. I am now on the “Shitcan Jake” bandwagon.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
mother of gawd
orangemocha - November 28, 2010
longhorn fan here
so is colt now delhomme’s backup? or is mangini not a douche
Bmadd3233 - November 28, 2010
he’s injured
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
yeah i know but if yall win does he justify it as so
Bmadd3233 - November 28, 2010
what? he’s injured, he’s not playing cause he’s injured.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Colt is hurt, would have played if healthy.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
He’s injured… please research before posting…
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
i realize that genius
its not like mangini gave senaca his job back
Bmadd3233 - November 28, 2010
Uhh. What?
StuckInPa - November 28, 2010
And maybe Wallace is still not 100% ever think of that? This is why you and I aren’t HC.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
McCoy will start once he’s healthy again
I think that’s what you’re asking
rose_11 - November 28, 2010
Hope this settles it for once and for all. Delhomme should not play another down in Cleveland.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Delhomme f**king sucks. I was saying it all damn week.
Where’s all this bulls**t about him being healthy or some sh**?
Jesus christ. I saw this sh** coming.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
THIS.
Put Wallace in. This is unbelievable. Two throws of the second half both picks.
We’re going to lose to a 1-9 team.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
We haven’t lost yet.
StuckInPa - November 28, 2010
No you didn’t.
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
I did.
The only upside is that we still win DESPITE Jake’s best efforts.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
Up by 1. This is ridiculous. Two picks on two throws. He’s losing this game for us.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
lol and theres my answer
Bmadd3233 - November 28, 2010
That’s it. Fuck Delhomme, I’m off his damn wagon. The first INT went to his head and he got stupid.
He lost this game for us if we do lose.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
………………………………..
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
Delhomme’s career is over. Thanks for mentoring colt though.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
sunofabitch
StuckInPa - November 28, 2010
This is exactly what people were afraid of with Delhomme.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
/raises hand
Put Wallace in. Run the damn ball.
I’m shocked. TWO THROWS. TWO PICKS.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
I don’t understand how it’s possible to throw as many pick 6’s as he does.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
How bad was the throw? Don’t have a feed here in Atlanta.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
Awful. Completely awful.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Here, and just awful…
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
behind the receiver, into coverage
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
I mean, just wow. Are you kidding me? I want him out.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Oh my god, this is unbelievable!
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
OH. MY. GOD.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
:(
jpmxch - November 28, 2010
Anytime this piece of son of a b**ch is on the field he does far more to hurt the team than help.
Sh**ty **s quarterback.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
Still not worried?
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
I’ll admit that I’m A LOT less worried that I SHOULD be.
I underestimated Daboll and Delhomme.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
Well this game is going to shit in a hurry.
Monsters of the Midway - November 28, 2010
Mangini’s going to lose his job over this and it’s not fair.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
If we lose this, he’s really screwed.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Hope he doesn’t. But if Delhomme plays another game, it will be.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
If Mangini survives, at the very least fire Daboll.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
Why?
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Based on everything we’ve seen thus far, I will be seriously disappointed if Mangini loses his job this year.
Monsters of the Midway - November 28, 2010
All’s fair in love, war, and NFL coaching carousels.
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
THANK GOD.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
hay guyz, lets just throw away the game
jpmxch - November 28, 2010
I don’t want delhomme even mentoring Colt. What is he going to show him? How to throw more picks then TDs.
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010 via mobile
The sky is falling.
StuckInPa - November 28, 2010
HEY LOOK! WE’RE RUNNING THE FOOTBALL!
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Wait. We have a running attack? I thight we were throwing into bad situations because we had to.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Ah, so the key to running the football is THROWING A PICK 6?!.
I want Daboll gone.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
How was that Daboll’s fault? Seriously.
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
That we just now start running the ball? Um, it’s all his.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Worst analysis ever.
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
Oh right, right. So pass a lot until he throws a pick 6, then run it. And it’s not Daboll’s fault?
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Even worse. Hole, shovel, dig.
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
Huh?
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Haha. That comment is ridiculous on so many levels.
Do you actually pay attention to the game or do you just make snarky comments every chance you get?
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Are you just a jackass all the time?
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Nice personal attack. I am now convinced by your analysis.
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
Glad you finally agree.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Not nearly as often as you are. At least I make sense with my comments.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
What did Daboll do wrong? he’s never supposed to call passing plays again?
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Great call by Simmsinns. Genius.
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
Mike Bell with positive yardage?
emily522 - November 28, 2010
And Bell for positive yards?
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Hillis should have about 50 carries by the end of thr day.
Hey a Mike Bell sighting!
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010 via mobile
OMG bell actualy gained yardage!
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
That was not supposed to be an end around.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
I was holding my breath on that throw.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
WHY THE HELL ARE THEY PASSING WITH THIS ASSHOLE MORE THAN RUNNING…..THIS IS COMPLETELY DABOLL’S FAULT!!!!
Cant_buy_a_run - November 28, 2010
They can’t run every down. Relax.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
3rd and 3. Run it
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
RUN. THE. BALL.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Oh goodness. That was the same route as last time…
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Hai guys. Finally got the game on AM driving through PA. First play was the pick six. I blame myself. Go Browns.
DisplacedBuckeye - November 28, 2010 via mobile
It’s getting to the point when I hold my breath every time he drops back to pass
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
One winter day, a
farmerMike Holmgren found asnakeJosh Delhomme by the roadside, stiff and motionless with cold.“If you
put me inside your shirtsign me to your team,” thesnakeJake Delhomme said, “your body will make me warmI will be your quarterback and I won’t freeze to death.”“Oh, I know your kind,” replied the Mike Holmgren. “If I pick you up, you will
bite methrow interceptions.”“Oh no,” the
snakeJake Delhomme objected. “Why would I do such a thing, if you are good enough to help me?”So the
farmerHolmgren had compassion on thesnakeDelhomme, and taking it up, heput it inside his shirtsigned him to the team. The warmth quickly revived thesnakeDelhomme, and resuming its natural instincts, itbit its benefactorthrew interceptions, inflicting on him a mortal wound. “Oh,” cried thefarmerHolmgren with his last breath, “why did you bite me? You promised you wouldn’t.”“Ah,” said the
snakeJake Delhomme . “So I did. But you knew I was asnakeJake Delhomme when you picked me up.”woodsmeister - November 28, 2010
6.7 YARDS PER CARRY
Cant_buy_a_run - November 28, 2010
Those “Delhomme is good when healthy” people really got quiet.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
haha, I am about to eat crow. Not yet though
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
I am a “Delhomme is good when holding a clipboard” Person
Cant_buy_a_run - November 28, 2010
He shows the ability to be good. What we haven’t seen is if he can get the headcase/ball control issue for four quarters, which is what we’re seeing today.
Chris Pokorny - November 28, 2010
“Ability” and “potential” are words best used to describe a one or two year player. Not a ten year guy who has been to the playoffs multiple times.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
This is funny, I didn’t see much complaining about calling passing plays in the first half when we were moving the ball. Now that Delhomme has thrown two picks that means we’re not supposed to call any more passing plays for the rest of the game?
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
I’ll call bulls**t.
I was right there.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
Sure you were.
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
Before the picks.
BEFORE THE PICKS.
.
How about this gem:
Guess what? Before the f**king picks.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
I don’t remember that.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
You’re full of it.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
All I said was I didn’t remember that. I’m sorry if I don’t remember every comment made by every person in the game thread. I guess that makes me “full of it.” Nice.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Just those four quotes of mine are in direct contradiction with what you are trying to say above, I’m sure there are some other too. Basically your first comment, which is blatantly false, makes you “full of it.”
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
Why are you so hostile all the time?
I said that I didn’t see much complaining. Maybe you were, but there wasn’t much by anyone else. That is “not much.” You can get all huffy and upset but that doesn’t mean I was wrong.
And the point is that an OC can’t call running plays all the time (or passing plays). We have to mix them both together.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Funny that, every single comment quoted here came in the todays first half game thread… before the picks.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
When you have a lead, run the ball. Football 101.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
That’s fine, but you can’t run EVERY play.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
I’m a Georgia Tech guy. Yes, you can. :-)
Seriously though, I see your point. Still.. 2 picks in 2 passes is a hard thing for a fan to let go of.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
I’ve been saying the whole game run more.
And now that Delhomme has thrown to picks two throws in a row… um yeah. Run the ball more.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
That’s fine, but people are complaining about passing on 2nd and long or 3rd and long. That’s crazy.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
We should be running more than passing every game.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Don’t tell BB that, he’ll call you ridiculous.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Especially up 21-7
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Right. But that doesn’t mean you should never throw.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
I am fine with throwing, I just can’t believe our QB wouldn’t be more careful with a lead like that. Same thing in the Tampa game.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
i agree completely. i’m talking about the people criticizing Daboll after every pass play.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
actually, i have been screaming at the tv all day to run more….Delhomme wasn’t that good in the first half either
Cant_buy_a_run - November 28, 2010
Typical Cleveland football. This sucks.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Oh Lord, Fox just showed the pick 6. That’s awful.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
Why all of our QBs minus McCoy suck?
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
I thought Wallace was alright. I don’t hate Delhomme as a person, but as a player, it’s sad to see him struggle. I’ll support anyone in a Browns uniform.
Heavysoviet - November 28, 2010
I thought Seneca Wallace was serviceable in his games actually. Coaches trusted his arm a little too much for my liking, but I wouldn’t say he sucks.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
We need a turnover now.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
We are still winning. Defense has to step up. Let’s not panic
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Up by 1. We’ve given 14 unanswered points. I’m panicking.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Why not panic? It’s another 1st half lead we are blowing.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Because we are winning. We need to outplay the other team at home the rest of the game to win this one. We can do it.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Switch QBs?
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Kind of too late now. We had Hillis run for three tds and we only have a 1 point lead compliments of Delhomme and a bend but not breaking D.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Now, you are blaming our D?? What?
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
Seriously. Worst analysis ever.
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
panic, no! nervous, yes! my hand is hovering over the button though!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
Agree, but why not put Wallace in at this point?
Seems to me at this point Delhomme is a liability.
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
Wallace not back to full health yet?
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Not according to what I’ve heard.
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
Last time we played a guy who wasn’t 100% at QB, Delhomme lost the game for us in Atlanta.
Jake’s healthy, just making mistakes. Seneca’s still hurt.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
I thought Wallace was back to 100%, no?
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
Wallace appears to be ready to go (browns team page injury report)
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
Let’s get a stop now.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
So I can’t even click the comment box without being directed to Facebook…
Complaining aside it’s time for a Safety.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
We’re going to lose to Jimmy Clausen.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Nope
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
To Jake Delhomme?
JustBob - November 28, 2010
I think we win this too if we put Wallace in the game
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Seriously, if we can get the first half offense back on the field, fine. But this second half showing is nothing to write home about.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Let’s get a turnover, we need it.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
roth!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
Matt Roth bullrush. Nice.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
I’ll take the sack.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Clausen really does remind me of Quinn.
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
Punt the ball. Thank God.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
That was scary.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
Ha, it looked like Roth barely touched him and Clausen sacked himself.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
i dont think clausen could find his way out of a wet paper bag!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
wow, cribbs dropped quickly
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
We better run the ball on our 15 yard line or wherever. If I see Delhomme throwing it this deep in our territory…
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Giants have tied it up with the Jags.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
So, I’m just kind of numb now. No longer getting really excited or disappointed. Must be my Browns defense mechanism.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Why do we always suck when it’s a game we should win.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
This is the first team we’ve played with a losing record this year. Really this is the first game we “should” win.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
We really need a TD on this drive.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
A Peyton Hillis TD ;) ?
Monsters of the Midway - November 28, 2010
Oh yeah, this is also the second time this season the Panthers have scored 20 points.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Even though delhomme keeps sucking, who would you rather have DA, BQ, or delhomme?
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
neither
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
DA.
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
Brady. I’ll take 35 checkdown passes and 50 rushes over what Jake’s given us.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
hillis for 7
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
HURTLE!
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Finally a hurdle.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
And the Hillis Hop.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
Ah, the pattented hillis hurdle!
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
I would not want to get in that man’s way.
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
Glad the Run O is always good.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Not last week.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
Those hurdles are nice but I’m worried about him getting injured on one of those plays.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
THIS
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
Agreed.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
I’m totally okay with running it every down.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
3rd and 6. We’re going to have to throw on this down.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Let’s go triple option the rest of this game. Where’s the toss/sweep?
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
Shit.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
good to see the clogged toilet offense coming in the second half……again
Cant_buy_a_run - November 28, 2010
So wait a minute . . . first you were complaining about us throwing and how you’re complaining about us running? What are we supposed to do on offense that you won’t second-guess?
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Some people are never happy.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Punt.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
I’m worried if Delhomme is scared to throw now, throwing it on the checkdown.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
This is turning into the Jacksonville game.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Ok, we need to convert on third downs!
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Idk if they’re showing up Holt, it’s more Delhomme self imploding.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Panthers 30, Browns 21
Dawg Nuts - November 28, 2010
Always a good idea to throw short of the first on third down.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Panthers helps us out again finally.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
RUNNING INTO THE PUNTER! FIRST DOWN!
emily522 - November 28, 2010
The Panthers are really stupid.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
running into the kicker!! first down
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
Wow…
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
That should have been 15.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
Yep. He bends down…
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Hell yeah!!!
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
OUCH.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Needed that gift.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
For once it’s the other team making stupid penalties. That should have been roughing.
woodsmeister - November 28, 2010
Mike Bell where have you been all my life?
ahowie - November 28, 2010
mike bell? positive yards?
sww2109 - November 28, 2010
Woah, Mike Bell!
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Mike Bell with like 8 yards? What?
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Comment on the 3rd quarter: BOOOOOOOO
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
That’s rare for Mike Bell.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
bell? when did he decide to show up
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
We have got to get a TD off of this.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Bell picked up 8?!
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Hahaha, Jake Delhomme is trending on Twitter. Pays to suck.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Hillis is too right? Also pays to not suck.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Wow, bell learned how to run the ball.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
JUST ONE MORE QUARTER!
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
to hold on!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
It’s been a really bad game either way.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Buffalo Bills…
ahowie - November 28, 2010
That bad?
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
…might tie it in the fourth quarter.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
Meanwhile, the so-called game of the week (Packers/Falcons) has been surprisingly pedestrian.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
We can win this. If we score and stop turning it over we can do it!
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Regroup and crush them! Someone tell Delhomme he doesn’t play for the Panthers anymore…..
Heavysoviet - November 28, 2010
Announcer just called him Killis haha.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
I heard that too.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
One more score SHOULD ice this game for us.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
Don’t scrw up delhomme!
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
More Robo.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
At least Robo is clutch today.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Robiskie with a career day.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
I love that career day means 5 for 34.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Ha I know.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
delhomme is having a career day too!!…… for the panthers!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
Haha 34 yards is a career day?
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
For Robo…
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Vickers is having a hell of a game.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
If vickers could catch, he would be perfect.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Good fucking audible, Jake.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
What the hell just happened?!
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
I think the TE was supposed to chip block there.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
This small ball offense would be fine if we had more than 2 WRs on the field. I’d love to see us go to a two TE set as our base offense. It’s worked wonders for the Patriots after they let Randy Moss go.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
We’re going to throw now.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Mike Bell whiffed on that block.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Go figure, a sack from the right.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
How is that not PI?!
ahowie - November 28, 2010
He sure made no attempt to play the ball.
woodsmeister - November 28, 2010
It was good defense.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
yeah he wasnt even looking at the ball..
jpmxch - November 28, 2010
Not really.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Not so much.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
We don’t know either Torry…
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
GO FOR IT
ahowie - November 28, 2010
GO FOR IT.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
GO FOR IT
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
GO FOR IT!
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
go for it!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
RUN IT!
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Go for it!
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
go for it
BayAreaDawg - November 28, 2010
Tough call here, how far are we?
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
a yard
ahowie - November 28, 2010
I’d kick.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
We’re on their 25.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Oh. 4th and 1.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
I love that chain of comments^.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
1 yard
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
Is Hillis banged up or just tired?
ahowie - November 28, 2010
Hillis is hurt, kick it.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Hillis looks ran out.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Timeout might allow Hillis to regroup
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
I think that’s why we did it.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
yep – I’m guessing that is the reason for the timeout.
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
He looks a little shaken to me, if he can go, do it
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
The Bills just tied the game with the Pittsburgh.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
go buffalo!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
Hillis just needed a breather, got that with the timeout, GO FOR IT!
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
I don’t understand how we can topple the Pats and Saints, but look so puny against Jacksonville and Carolina.
One more mistake from us and we are done for.
Heavysoviet - November 28, 2010
Jacksonville is good
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
We haven’t lost to a bad team yet.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
They aren’t bad teams, per se, but no comparison to New England and New Orleans.
Heavysoviet - November 28, 2010
COME ON!
emily522 - November 28, 2010
shit.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
We didn’t get it. Shit.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
We didn’t get it fuck!
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
OMG. We didn’t get it.
WTF ARE YOU SERIOUS.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
no go
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
He didn’t get it.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Oh well. It was a good call to go for it.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
I would have kicked.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
IMO it was the right call. 4th and 1 and you got Hillis.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
4 pts, means Panthers have to score a TD to take the lead. They haven’t scored an offensive TD since the first possession.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Really hard to believe they couldn’t punch that one through with Hillis.
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
Mangini would have been crucified
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
For ensuring that a field goal wouldn’t win the game for Carolina? Nah. Especially with a tired/beat up Hillis.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
Had to – definitely
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
inb4 the panthers win by a fg and everybody criticizes the decision to go for it there
davus - November 28, 2010
I’ll criticize Delhomme for throwing 2 picks in a row before I blame that call.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Where the hell was VICKERS?!?!?!?
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
GODDDDDD.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
That was a bad spot. It was a lot closer than that. I don’t think he got it but it was close.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
Our O-line got lit up on that play.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Steinbach, ouch
Monsters of the Midway - November 28, 2010
Glad we suck. Every single 2nd half of every single game. Never fails this season apparently.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
We really need to force a turnover. If the Panthers take the lead, I don’t think we’re going to come back.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Yea, time for the D to take this game over
Monsters of the Midway - November 28, 2010
History agrees with you.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
a new fockers movie?? haha
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
Looks horrible. They actually had to get Dustin Hoffman to come in and do some scenes after post-production to try and make it funnier.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
This game is probably over. Thanks for screwing it up for us delhomme.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
I wouldn’t be that confident, we are only up 1
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
heh, love the confidence. I still think we win too.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
No, I’m saying Carolina will win. Thanks delhomme.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Your sarc meter seems to be working perfectly.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Yeah, ha my bad.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Ha! And rec.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Still got the lead, at least….. for now.
Heavysoviet - November 28, 2010
Can we crown that false start with a sack please?
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Yes.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
You called it.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Good call.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Elam with another sack
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Abe! Big play
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
3rd and 12. Come on!
emily522 - November 28, 2010
This defense stinks.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
MY GOD.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Giants just took the lead. Good to see we’re not the only team blowing two score leads today.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
Nobody gives up third and long the way we do.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
This Browns defensive mechanism is working perfectly.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
somebody want to tackle that guy?? for real!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
We’ve made Clausen look pretty decent today. Embarrassing.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
facepalm
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
jesus christ!!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
So yeah. We’re going to lose. To Carolina.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
We’re going to lose this. Let them run all over us. If they get a TD, we’re dead.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
The hell is with us and not defending short throws?
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
This is where we lose the lead. Maybe we can limit the damage to a field goal….
Heavysoviet - November 28, 2010
Fuck this defense. Horrible. This might be against the worst offense in the league, too.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
I hate to say this but if Browns can pull this game out I think Mangini’s days are numbered.
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
why are we getting worse as the season goes on?
Dawg Nuts - November 28, 2010
This is a nightmare right, please tell me it is still Saturday night!
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Pouring salt on the wound, Steelers just retook the lead.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
whether we hold them to a field goal here or not, we don’t stand a chance if delhomme stays in
ollie_williams - November 28, 2010
too late to pull him at this point I think
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
And who do we put in with everyone injured, Cribbs? Stuckey?
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
FML
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Up 21-7 and they’re on the verge of taking the lead. Absolutely ridiculous.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
This could be the worst finishing football team I have ever seen.
Chief Wahoo - November 28, 2010
Thank Delhomme. That pick 6 changed everything.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
It is his calling card.
Chief Wahoo - November 28, 2010
I am going to go one step farther than you. This IS the worst finishing
footballteam I’ve ever seen.TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
we’re the reverse kardiac kids
da36chamberz - November 28, 2010
As an Auburn alum, it is crazy this season watching Auburn come back and win every week and the Browns finding new ways to lose every week. Just complete opposites.
Chief Wahoo - November 28, 2010
this team should be called the DOA kids!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
Thank God. Please miss this FG.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
This is why you kick the field goal. We would stillbe leading.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Who cares, come on? We should be leading by 10 points or more by now. This game is a disaster.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Doesn’t mean you stop coaching. I care about every play. Bad choice.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Exactly.
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
I wouldn’t say so, Hillis needed 1 yard, it was practically a gimme, (I know there is no such thing in the NFL but…) and we could be up by 5.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Even with the first you don’t guarantee a TD. You might finish with a FG either way. We needed the cushion, make the PAnthers prove they could score an offensive TD.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Ding, ding, ding.
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
25 yard line… That’d be a… 40 yard field goal? No guarantee Dawson makes it.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
He better make a 40 yard field goal.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Come on now. This is just silly.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
Maybe. I will agree with the decision to go for it.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
still*
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Me too.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
It’s a 42 yarder. You don’t play with an assumption that your kicker can’t make that.
TheDriveStillHurts - November 28, 2010
And no guarantee you pick up the fourth, but most folks would call the FG the higher percentage play.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Actually, I think most Browns fans would take the odds on Hillis getting that 1 yard before the 40 yd. kick.
Browns town - November 28, 2010
no.
Dawg Nuts - November 28, 2010
Without Vickers in there blocking it’s not a very sure thing.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
We would also still be leading if Delhomme hadn’t screwed up and thrown a pick 6. And if Kasey didn’t miss that other field goal and we still kicked the FG, we’d be losing.
If if if.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Game.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Pessimism, it’s 2 points, get a grip.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
It’s the browns offense led by delhomme and dabol. I think we’re screwed.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
I have no confidence in this offense to take the lead back.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Alright Cribbs. Earn your contract.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
I think my aneurism is flaring up again.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Common ailment among our kind.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Could be worse. Let’s kick a field goal and regain the lead. This game isn’t over yet. And neither is the season.
Heavysoviet - November 28, 2010
I would love to see Wallace come out on this drive.
ollie_williams - November 28, 2010
Who is the worst team in football now?
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
The Panthers
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
We are.. if we lose :(
jpmxch - November 28, 2010
No. Not even if we lost.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
Still Buffalo.
Heavysoviet - November 28, 2010
Buffalo is actually ok. They’ve won 1 less game than we have and played very competitively the last few weeks.
Browns town - November 28, 2010
Agreed, Carolina’s played the worse football of any team this year. We’re losing this for ourselves with poor decisions in the passing game and really bad tackling.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
Buffalo, Cinci, Carolina, Dallas, take your pick.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
buffalo
BayAreaDawg - November 28, 2010
The only QB having a worse day than Delhomme is Rusty Smith.
A rookie 3rd stringer.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
That was lucky.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
HOLY SHIT.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Great play by Delhomme. He finally used his legs, only took him 35 years to figure out he had any.
Heavysoviet - November 28, 2010
The line is not having a good second half. Along with the rest of the team.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
Now why does our O – line all of a sudden stink?
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
2nd and 12. Crap.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
They just compared delhomme to Farve. I see a few to many similarities between them.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
The Vikings won today with Favre playing mistake free football (first time this year). We’re losing to the worse team in football b/c our QB can’t help making mistakes.
No comparison.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
Favre is an (old, washed up) INT (old, washed up) machine, there’s a fair comparison. One mistake free game does not change that.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
delete failure of the second ( ).
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Now a false start. 2nd and 17.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Robiskie again.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
i have no confidence in delhomme on 3rd and 10.
ollie_williams - November 28, 2010
THANK GOD FOR HILLIS DAMN!
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Huge sigh of relief.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
I’m so glad we have hillis.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
imagine how bad we would suck if we didnt have hillis!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
More luck on that. Hillis shouldn’t have gotten that first down.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Come on. Luck is part of the game.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Buffalo on 4 and 2 at Pitt’s 36, went for it, Fitzpatrick to Steve Johnson 10 yards, first down at Pitt 26.
Matt Y. - November 28, 2010
Polamalu INT. Game over.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
Dang it.
Matt Y. - November 28, 2010
MOMASS!
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
That was a nice throw. I’ll give him credit for that one.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
If we’re going to pass, keep doing these quick slants. Jake looks sharp on them.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
Robiskie is just showing up today!
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Can this please be a sign of things to come for Robo?
ahowie - November 28, 2010
God I hope so.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Please, this.
Browns town - November 28, 2010
Well, robo is having a good game at least.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
We could really use a TD
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
No turnovers! Hillis, Hillis and more Hillis.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
Did we seriously just fuck up another short yardage play?
ahowie - November 28, 2010
WHAT WAS THAT?
emily522 - November 28, 2010
very good question
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
Oh crap, we didn’t get it. Seriously?
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
i think it was pretty close
ollie_williams - November 28, 2010
Fuck Daboll.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
Do we go for it if it’s a 4th down or do we go fo the lead?
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
What! Take the lead every single time.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
No debate on that one
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
Kick the FG. Easy call.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
That was freakin’ stupid. RUN HILLIS. My God. I mean what the hell is that? 2ND AND 1 and we can’t freakin’ convert.
Well let’s see if Dawson can make this.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
We’re going to lose. I’m amazed.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Was Holt just talking about how great of a WR Robo is?
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Some seriously dumb stuff.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
So did we cool off on the playoff talk here yet
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
get the fuck out of here, troll
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Actually
it was a reasoned, calm discussion last time I was here.
Classy, though.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
yeah, right, that’s what you came here for. Like I said, not a good time, get the fuck out of here.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Funny you talk about class after trolling us.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
A little history
last time I was here we were discussing the Browns realistic shot at the post season.
Sorry guys.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
you have to be pretty stupid to not know how that was going to go over.
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
You’re coming in asking about the playoffs when we have had a second half collapse to a crappy Carolina team. Timing is literally everything.
Browns town - November 28, 2010
You had won by the time I said that
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
2 mins left in the game. We haven’t won anything.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
It certainly came off as you being a smart ass, considering we’re struggling with a 1-win team and have very very long odds of sneaking into any playoff discussion.
Chief Wahoo - November 28, 2010
Well you know what
I took it on all ends from you guys last time, without complaint or rudeness. Because I’m a guest. For the same reason I apologize for the way I worded things.
Last time I left a great many people insisted you guys were still playoff bound.
My mistake.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
The problem is some of us don’t ike to be generalized especially in the waning moments of a close game. Many of us didn’t think we were playoff bound.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Many of you did
and the way you treated me and each other I mistook this for a very different atmosphere than what it is.
Again, it was my mistake.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
Hey, buddy, I’m not trying to be rude. You just came in at a time when most everyone in here was pretty heated and fretting an embarrassing loss.
Chief Wahoo - November 28, 2010
You have to realize tensions are high right now. We are barely beating a one win team.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Given the truth of that statement, what made you think that now was a good time to come over and comment about that? Do you also kick stray dogs and cats?
woodsmeister - November 28, 2010
What made me think it was a good time?
Probably you going up on Carolina by a point.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
you are seriously stupid if you think being up a point with three minutes left means anything.
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
Maybe
at least I’m not as nasty as you
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
I’d rather be nasty than that stupid.
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
Not me :)
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
ignorance is bliss I guess.
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
some level of ignorance is preferable to being mean and reactionary
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
and timing is everything, you wouldn’t get this kind of reception if you chose a better time to ask your question
da36chamberz - November 28, 2010
This is true.
Unfortunately you guys don’t take what you give very well.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
we can handle anything, we are browns fans remember….it’s just that during game threads the gloves may come off if it’s a heated game
da36chamberz - November 28, 2010
almost anything but a well meaning fan of another team that says something you don’t want to hear.
You’re right though. I should have waited. I highly doubt I would have gotten a different reaction, but I should have waited.
On other blogs you can usually respond in kind without the drama.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
are you ready to own up to lying? I miscounted before. you now have 30 total comments on this site, with 27 being in this thread. you come here every week? you are a fixture?
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
If your constantly changing math is true, I’ve had hidden or deleted comments.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
Which it isn’t, according to my SB.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
you keep posting so the total goes up. you had three comments here before today.
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
Some must have been deleted or hidden.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
they must have been real gems if they were deleted
da36chamberz - November 28, 2010
:(((((((((((((
^Rex Ryan emoticon.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
This is the comment I meant to reply to with:
So please don’t act like I’m coming out of nowhere.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Most fan bases are clearly not so sensitive.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
We’re not most fan bases, we’re Browns fans, we’ve been through a lot. Also you must never have dealt with any fans of the other AFC North teams. Bottom line is you came over and said something that can be inflammatory when we were making the 1-9 Panthers look like a legit team after two straight late in the game collapses. I expect ANY fan base to react similarly.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Not in my experience.
I have a habit of circling SB blogs to punish REAL trolls from GGN who disturb other blogs.
None to date have been like this.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
Again, circumstances, tact, and timing.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Nor do they make excuses for their behavior.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
sure, but your level is not just “some” level if you truly believe being up one point with three minutes left means the game is over. have you ever watched a football game before?
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
Whatever you say man. Keep up the nasty doom and gloom.
Your teams about to win, don’t miss it.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
So you decided to come over and troll us after two very tough close losses and while we are fighting for a win?
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
You use the term troll extremely loosely
The way things played out last time I had no idea you guys were so sensitive.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
you should take a hint and leave now.
Dawg Nuts - November 28, 2010
Coming over in the middle of a close game where we’re struggling. If that’s not trolling, then I don’t know what is.
Browns town - November 28, 2010
I'm here every week
never had a blow up before.
Either way, I’m sorry you guys are so offended.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
you are not here every week. stop lying.
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
Yes, I am
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
you do not comment here every week. stop lying.
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
I may have missed a week
unfortunately for you I am a fixture, until I say something so dumb that you’re all angry at me I.E. now.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
However if you’re so certain I’m lying feel free to prove me wrong.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
Most of us don’t make comments that can be construed as trolling.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
I don’t know how to respond to this, it isn;t even related to the discussion.
I can’t help your hyper-sensitivity.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
you have only been a member of this site since november 7th. you have not been here every week and now I have proved you were lying. get out.
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
That's 4 weeks
and you’re stupid
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
that hardly counts as a fixture. you’ve had what? one comment a week, maybe?
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
More if you do the math
It makes me a regular. Or at least trying to be one. Looks like I’m telling the truth and you jumped the gun. I wonder if that’s a habit with you…
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
as of right now you have 27 total comments. 23 are in this thread. that makes one per week since you joined.
Looks like you’re lying. I wonder if that’s a habit with you…
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
lol, fib much with numbers, do we?
But I’m the liar…
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
http://www.sbnation.com/users/Bro%20Namath
count ’em yourself.
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
34 comments half of which have to be in this thread.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
That’s an embellishment.
However it looks like some of mine have been deep sixed.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
33 of 36 as of this comment.
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
There were more prior t this week.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
look, just admit you lied.
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
As much as I’d like to validate your obsession, you’re wrong.
So ntn, how do you like your chances for going to the playoffs now?
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
not trying to be an ass, I promise, but how old are you?
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
Oh no? Because if I reply to this either way you’re going to say “I thought so” or “act your age”.
You haven’t exactly been the bane of maturity man.
Still if I could word my apology a thousand more ways I already would have.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
Look. I don’t want to be a dick, but for you to come and chide us for not making the playoffs makes you a bigger dick.
This is especially odd to me coming from a Jets fan. I live in New York and have a number of friends that like the Jets. Most of them don’t make fun of me for liking the BRowns, because they all know it will bite them in the ass. The Jets have a history of raising expectations and choking. I hope it changes for my friends, but then you come along and make excited for the next time the Jets blow it.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Just so you know ALL of this was in response to brash insistence that the Browns would make the playoffs, and endless smack talk which I took in stride.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
So, I will be sure to return the favor when the Jets are losing to the Pats in the playoffs with the game on the line.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Please do.
I’ll handle it like an adult.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
Will every commenter on your website? Because you are excellent at lumping all Browns fans into one singular voice.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
If you weren’t so reactionary I wouldn’t be inclined to say so.
Your response is the most reasoned and calm of all. That’s saying something.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
I think you’d get a different response if you tried that comment not when we were about to blow a game to the Panthers.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Also, who the hell asks if a 3-7 team has stopped talking about the playoffs? That’s just stupid to think about asking.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
The person who was told by 3-6 fans that their team is playoff bound.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
By what 2 fans? 5? It was a minority of our fans who seriously thought we had a chance at making the playoffs, and this is some great offense to you.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
It was never offensive to me.
Unfortunately the same cannot be said for you guys.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
So I really want to know exactly how you justify your original question. It’s obvious that you thought it was a stupid idea then, so how will you defend asking it with these so called good intentions?
Browns town - November 28, 2010
I guess responding to comments on both of our blogs isn’t justification enough.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
So all you have to do to have good intentions is to participate in a few discussions?
Browns town - November 28, 2010
Nice logic leap
I don’t have to do ANYTHING to have good intentions. It doesn’t require being proactive.
It just means I didn’t mean to hurt feelings of cause bad blood with the OP.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
Ok. Will you at least concede that your timing was terrible?
Browns town - November 28, 2010
You mean like I have dozens of times already, not satisfying you? Sure. Bad timing.
Feel free to admit how reactionary you’ve all been any time.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
Great. Thanks. Up a few comments you said that you highly doubt we would have reacted differently to the question.
If you really have been around these last 4 weeks, then you will have seen very civil discussion and know that this reaction was not the norm.
Browns town - November 28, 2010
Probably
but I can’t expect people to know that win I’m poking fun in response that I’m not being malicious.
I can say I’m sorry, I can say go Browns, I can apologize for the timing, but I can’t make you guys calm down.
Consider that to the outside perspective your blogs overall reaction was equally if not more offensive, if you can.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
Probably.
I don’t know how that ascribes more responsibility to me, though. If anything you’re more or less telling me it’s your guys fault you’re so offended.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
fixed
I don’t think anyone here was THAT optimistic.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Heh.
Yes they were.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
Please provide at least some shred of proof that there were members here that were so optimistic.
Browns town - November 28, 2010
I can’t believe I’m actually digging back to appease you.
But I am. Wait for it.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
It’s cool. I’ll wait.
Browns town - November 28, 2010
I really doubt it, I tend to be one of the more optimistic fans here, I predicted 10-6 at the beginning of the year. Before the Jets game I was one of the few that said we could (not would) make the playoffs and that is where my judgment of:
came from. Maybe you construed the maybe talk for sure thing talk, I don’t know.North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
I don’t know what to tell you.
For people who have such issues with my grouping you together you certainly generalize and speak for your fan base pretty well.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
You seem like you’re looking for things to pick at now.
Is not a generalization.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Alright then.
I disagree by way of first hand witnessing.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
If you’ve had comments deleted than they were taken as inflammatory by our mods and you’re not making yourself look any less trollish by bringing it to light.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Not necessarily. His comments could have been replies to other comments which were deleted.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
I kind of assumed I replied to threads that got tossed.
Unimportant. The browns won and we can all celebrate.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
Dude, stop will you? You say you came on here with good intentions. Your timing was terrible at best and now you’re just looking like a douche.
Browns town - November 28, 2010
Only a douche would aggressively congratulate you on a win and root for you in game, in spite of what your fans think about said douche.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
All I’m saying is that you carrying this thing out as if you’re a contributing member here is making you look like a douche. if you had these good intentions as you said you did, then this would stop.
Browns town - November 28, 2010
HAD good intentions is the right way to describe it.
When I’m kissing your teams ass, I’m a contributing member.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
How were you kissing our team’s ass? Your first comment was something about not getting ahead of ourselves with playoff talk.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
in reference to other topics/replies
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
I replied to the wrong comment my bad, I meant for the can’t take what we dish out comment.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
You have 21 total comments on this blog
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
Little surprise that you’d cite something as empty as that as proof.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
Really? Because it seems to be the consensus here. You may not have intended it the way it came out, and if so you need better timing and tact.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Real classy coming in with a shot at our team.
Chief Wahoo - November 28, 2010
The word ‘class’ doesn’t belong in your vocabulary.
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
Troll someone else?
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Wtf, you’re a mod too you piece of shit.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
He’s a Jets fan. Nuff said.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Wow
my mistake for bringing up what we had previously discussed.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
go fornicate yourself.
Dawg Nuts - November 28, 2010
Don’t act ignorant. That was a douchey comment and you know it.
Chief Wahoo - November 28, 2010
Or maybe we talked about it before
either way, it was my mistake.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
a moderator on your board, even. Piece of shit.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Oh man, they squeak out a few wins and all of a sudden the little troll thinks he’s Captain America.
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
Squeaked out wins against bad teams.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Um can we try running with Vickers blocking?
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Is Vickers seriously not in on these short yardage plays?
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
i think he’s hurt. last i saw him he was on the sideline, helmet off.
davus - November 28, 2010
On the last 3rd down play Delhomme tried a Qb sneak on a quick snap. They didn’t make any substitutions so Vickers wasn’t in. They tried to catch the defense off guard but it didn’t owrk.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
they play before that they tried an inside handoff to Hillis with Delhomme in the shotgun. It didn’t fool anyone. I hope Vickers isn’t hurt though. At the time I was annoyed that we were trying these types of plays when we should just line up in the i and smash them.
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
THANK GOD.
DO YOUR JOB, DEFENSE!
emily522 - November 28, 2010
that was tooooo close!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
Thank god for hodges.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Bah, we needed a TD.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Terry Bradshaw “well imagine this, a Cleveland Brown highlight.”
Why are former steelers calling highlights for our game?
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
What a jackass.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Nice!
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010

BayAreaDawg - November 28, 2010

brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Can we please pick off Clausen now? I’ve waited for it all day.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Please, please, please.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Get a pick!
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Alright defense. Don’t let the worst offense in the league beat you.
Matt Y. - November 28, 2010
Come on defense!
Chris Pokorny - November 28, 2010
Delhomme has a whole 8 points on the day.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Even if we stop them here and get the ball back, they’ve got all 3 timeouts. We’re going to need another decent drive out of the offense.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
that’s a big if
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Bills have a chance.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
I have an awful feeling right now… I wish I didn’t.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
that fumble by moore looks pretty bad now.
notthatnoise - November 28, 2010
Oh yeah. I said that like 40 minutes ago, but still. Looks even worse now.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Ugh, my CBS 4 o’clock game is the Dolphins & Raiders.
UGH.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010

Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
Do we run now!
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Smart play by Haden to slide and not risk fumbling the return. Very smart for a rookie.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Haha, who saw Ryan completely flip on the sidelines? Haha.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
I take back what I said about the Raiders game. Oakland with a 101 yard kick off return on the opening kick off.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
JOE JOE JOE JOE
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010

findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010

HERE WE GO BROWNIES HERE WE GO
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Who gets the game ball, Hillis, Haden, or Dawson?
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Hillis.
jpmxch - November 28, 2010
is that even a question? 3 TDs man, Hillis is our entire offense
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Carolina had used a timeout on that challenge early in the half right?
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Nope. They didn’t lose the time out.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
nope, remember they got the challenge right, but the pass was ruled incomplete
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
think that was a Browns challenge
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
Nope, they changed the ruling though so they got to keep it.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Our O line looks like complete trash.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Huh?
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
I thought they did pretty good really
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
Over last game, immensely. But St. Clair is still St. Clair and they broke down after the half.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Should be running to the left.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
WOOOOOOOOO!!! Thank god
BayAreaDawg - November 28, 2010
Oh my God. They’re still going to get a chance.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
They’re still going to have time.
Oh my God…
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Wow. We went 3 and out.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Not surprised. They knew we would run it.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Right.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
We need a long punt now.
brownsboy14 - November 28, 2010 via mobile
I’d rather have a punt downed inside the 10
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
There you go.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Shut up, Holt. Delhomme nearly cost us the game.

Chris Pokorny - November 28, 2010
Shhhhhh.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Don’t see how, relax.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Rush 3 and drop the other 8 into coverage. That’s the only defense I want to see.
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
Ol=nly rush Rogers all else in coverage.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Only Browns fans worry about giving the ball to a rookie QB on a 1-9 team with one minute left and no time outs.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Have you ever rooted for a Cleveland sports team
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
REC.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
You don’t get it. I’m worried too.
JustBob - November 28, 2010

Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010

OH MY GOD….
emily522 - November 28, 2010
WHAT THE FUCK.
jpmxch - November 28, 2010
12 seconds. Cannot allow a completion here.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
We need to try to keep the ball layer up for 12 seconds then tackle.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Oh my God…
emily522 - November 28, 2010
I can’t watch the last few seconds.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Guard the sidelines no matter what.
Chris Pokorny - November 28, 2010
Our defenders need to tackle and stop trying to strip the ball.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Especially late.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Are you fucking kidding me?
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010 via mobile
Anyone here still think we are one player away?
kingcrimson2 - November 28, 2010
This is why I love/hate being a Browns fan
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
They still need about 20 yards, we cannot let a completion to the sideline.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Oh my God… I am about to die.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
We lose.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
OH MY GOD.

You have got to be kidding me.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
that’s a catch
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
We’re fucked because of the replay. He was in bounds, and the clock would’ve run. But the refs will let them start the play at 5 seconds and have time to clock it.
Chris Pokorny - November 28, 2010
Not a catch. The bill hits the ground.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Review? What is going on?
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
This is unbelievable.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Does anyone else see a bounce to that ball?
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
This team is an abortion.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
Get the bottles ready to throw
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
not enough evidence to overturn that
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
There’s no way that’s a catch.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
No catch but it doesn’t matter.
kingcrimson2 - November 28, 2010
Looks like a catch to me.. another Sunday ruined.
jpmxch - November 28, 2010
I can’t believe this. We get an interception with a minute and a half left, and we’re going to find a way to lose.
emily522 - November 28, 2010

Mangini is going to be gone.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, your Cleveland Browns

Chris Pokorny - November 28, 2010
This. What an embarrassing win.
ahowie - November 28, 2010
I’d be more embarrassed with a loss.
I’m just relieved.
emily522 - November 28, 2010

Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
We are slaves to karma.

Dawg Nuts - November 28, 2010

davus - November 28, 2010
off the upright
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
YES
RudeMood19 - November 28, 2010
Why would Mangini be gone? He didn’t throw the INTs, he didn’t fumble on the two.
JamesPowell - November 28, 2010
I like Mangini, but at some point your team needs to win games they have in hand.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
This.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
I blame Daboll more than Mangini in that aspect, he’s calling the plays.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Coach is responsible for the O coordinator especially when he has insisted on keeping him.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
What is he calling wrong? It’s not his fault that Delhomme threw those picks. They weren’t bad play calls.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
The sneak was an awful call. You don’t have to be the Daboll apologist every time someone says something bad about him.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
I’m just tired of people always complaining about the play calling and blaming their OC when things don’t go well. it’s so easy to do and EVERY team’s fans do it. It’s all second guessing.
Nobody would have complained about the quick snap if it worked.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
But it didn’t did it? And who called it? Daboll.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Well I certainly can’t argue with that logic . . . .
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Good.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Hyperbole.
I would have still said a sneak by Delhomme was an awful call and that we were lucky it worked.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
the game was borderline embarrassing. This team keeps quitting on him in the 2nd half
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
How were they quitting? They played poorly, specifically Delhomme, but how is that the same as quitting?
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Eric Mangini, your job is on the line. Hope the Browns play better, for your sake.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
WHO SAID GAME OVER!?!?!?!?!?!
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
That was torture.
emily522 - November 28, 2010

findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010

davus - November 28, 2010
BUT – a W is a W
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
just ask the lucky Jets
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
Hahaha.
Well. Neither team wanted this game.
Matt Y. - November 28, 2010
I can’t believe it. I still don’t get why we ran way less than pass…Daboll still needs to be fired
Cant_buy_a_run - November 28, 2010
Que BB to call you stupid.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
I am waiting on it. I just don’t get the play calling most of the time with this team.
Cant_buy_a_run - November 28, 2010
when it happens EVERY game in the second half, there is a coaching issue going on.
Cant_buy_a_run - November 28, 2010
No, no, no. You need to keep throwing the ball after two picks, it’s imperative.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Do you actually listen to anything I say? Or do you just make it up as you go?
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
I’ve never, ever, called anyone stupid. But keep making things up.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Haha, you can’t take a joke. I know you don’t call people stupid.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
How is that possibly a joke?
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Cuz it is.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
My chest hurts.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010

findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
Justice after that bullshit clock stoppage!
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
Pittsburgh punting from own endzone.
woodsmeister - November 28, 2010
We have one ugly win every year. Let’s hope this was it for this year and we come out better against the Dolphins. We’re on the road the next three weeks. If we play like we did today, I’m fearing a 3 game losing streak.
Get well soon, Colt!
Michael Jay - November 28, 2010
Can’t wait for him to be back.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Can Pittsburgh please lose to Buffalo? That would be hilarious.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
buffalo will get great feild position!!! and then they fumble the punt!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
And recover the football. Hallelujah.
woodsmeister - November 28, 2010
wow they got it back!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
Disgusting 2nd half play. This team is very deficient in talent and it shows most every week.
kingcrimson2 - November 28, 2010
Why deficient in talent? We have more talent that we have had in awhile, and our new GM looks to be a whiz in the draft.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
i agree we are a few pieces away from winning these close games we are losing. Way better than 99 when we were 22 pieces away.
da36chamberz - November 28, 2010
But he’s only been here one year. We may have more talent then we’ve had in a while but that doesn’t mean we’re not stilll deficient in many areas. We are.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
i agree with this too hahaha…..we are way better but still deficient i says
da36chamberz - November 28, 2010
What exactly are you disagreeing with? I am not saying we are stacked. I am saying we are more talented than in the past, and I trust we will continue moving in that direction.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Then why did you disagree with his comment? Or, at least, you replied in a way which seemed like you were disagreeing.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
I disagree characterizing the team as “very deficient in talent.” That makes it seem like we have no players. We have quite a few good players. We still need to get better no question.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
I don’t think it means we have no players, it just means we have less than most teams. And we do.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
We are better than last year but this game show our weaknesses on both sides of the ball. This 1-10 team should have won for cripes sakes.
Need WRs and a DL or LB sack machine desperately to be a consistently good team.
kingcrimson2 - November 28, 2010
I think you guys are misinterpreting my statements as being content with our current talent. I am saying we are not deficient. We are not one of the worst teams in the league. We have some talent. We’ve had some key injuries, which has hurt us of late. This team is not too far off, but we still need to add pieces.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
We have less talent than most teams so we are deficient in talent. Maybe we aren’t the worst in the league but we’re certainly below average.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Eh, the original comment was “very deficient in talent,” now you are skewing the argument to say merely below average. These are quite different things, but at the risk of brossing it with semantics, let’s just say I completely disagree with the characterization of the Browns as very deficient in talent. I think we are around league average, and with an easier schedule and healthy QBs, we’d be above .500 no question in my mind.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Damn Bills. That was close.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
My family in NY are Bills fans. They’re probably having heart attacks right now.
emily522 - November 28, 2010

da36chamberz - November 28, 2010
Also! Joe Haden still deserves a medal
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Yes.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
I wanted him to return that pick for a touchdown. Unless it’s a situation that lets you kneel on the ball to end the game, I think you have to try to score.
Chemo - November 28, 2010
no, remember the fumble last week? The kid what he had to do
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
I didn’t mind Stuckey going for the extra yards, either. i just wanted both guys to do it with two arms around the football.
Chemo - November 28, 2010
I liked going down, that last series should never happen.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Right. don’t risk a fumble. Smart play.
Buckeye Brad - November 28, 2010
Holy fuck, what an anxious game. Let’s hope the Steelers and Ravens lose every game and we win all of ours, then we go to the playoffs. Season ain’t over yet.
Heavysoviet - November 28, 2010
This is an ugly loss, but you know what? Right now, at 3-7, I don’t care. I’m just happy we didn’t lose to a 1 loss team.
4-7. We have to do better against Miami.
emily522 - November 28, 2010

Bro Namath - November 28, 2010

SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010

131 yards.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Damn. They still pull this win out though.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
We have to be trying to lose these games – there is no fucking way a rookie drives his team from their own 4 with less than a min and no timeouts and sets them up for a win. We are lucky as hell (for once).
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
johnson has to feel like shit right now!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010

I don’t have the liver for this team
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
Try watching and being abstinent from alcohol. The heart takes it, not the liver.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
I picked an awful time to quit smoking cigarettes.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
I know, that’s why I started drinking!
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
This team easily has the talent for a playoff run, if a couple of close games had gone the other way.
Never thought I’d say this, but GO BUFFALO!
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
I’m sorry but we lost on the last play of overtime, gave up a 75 yard screen pass to lose and almost lost to the 1-9 panthers with 10 seconds left. This team is never going to be a playoff team if they don’t understand that the last minute is actually still part of the game.
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
Some people say the same thing about my team.
Simple fact is if a few plays had gone slightly different you guys would have a much better record and a serious shot right now.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
Personally I think we are a few players away from making a serious run. Our record and late game collapses tend to make it look that way. Right side OL, a backup RB, some youth on the DL and maybe a couple DBs (a CB and a true FS more specifically) and a true #1 WR and we are a serious contender. Either way with the combined history of our current FO, I’m excited about next year.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
Add pass rusher.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Not high on Elam?
Or is her playing strong, I can’t remember.
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
he*
Bro Namath - November 28, 2010
Elam has just turned it on the last two games, but he seems more like a SS than a FS, and I’d rather give the SS starting spot to the young and promising Ward. He would make a great backup/spot starter though.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
here they go!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
Poor Bills. The first down TD is dropped and you still can’t get the first down.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
So not to keep dumping on the Browns but is Josh Cribbs or someone going to run one back or at least get past the 30 on a KR at some point?
kingcrimson2 - November 28, 2010
Haden has.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
True but didn’t we give Josh Cribbs a huge pay raise and when is he going to break out on ST?
kingcrimson2 - November 28, 2010
His pay is incentive based. On offense and ST scoring.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
True, but I’m guessing since we’re really thin at corner they don’t want to expose him on ST?
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
I’d assume. He’s also a starter and Cribbs’ has a history of being awesome so why pull him?
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
only if he were injured would be my guess
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
Cringe is injured. Not back to full yet. Earlier this year teams were kicking away from him.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Er, Cribbs. Stooped autocorrect.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Man, Steve Johnson dun goof’d.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
Consequences will never be the same.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Bcuz I backtraced it!Eh, those references ran out, but oh well, nice one.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
Come on Bills, they’re missing their shots
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
3rd and long. Force a punt, Buffalo!
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Man. 4-7 sounds so much better than 3-8.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
its a sad day when buffalo’s defense plays better than ours!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
They’re giving us great tape for our next game against them.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Oh man. Buffalo’s falling apart now.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
yeah you just can’t give the steelers so many shots
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
I can’t believe he dropped that game winning TD catch…
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Pittsburgh’s ability to find bruising, physical backs is praiseworthy.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Not looking good for the boys in blue.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
Jeez, it feels like we didn’t even win. Dabol sucked today.

BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Oh Bills. I needed an upper after that game.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
i feel a big penalty coming for pittsburgh!! send em back 10 yards!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
Who thinks this game would have been a walk if Colt were healthy? I mean, besides me.
JamesPowell - November 28, 2010
No way Colt throws a pick 6.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
At least not one as terrible as JD threw.
Browns town - November 28, 2010
It was so bad. It didn’t make me angry. It shot me over angry into numb and uncaring.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
I dunno. Colt wouldn’t have thrown the picks, but the WRs also wouldn’t have had as many receptions.
JustBob - November 28, 2010
If you ask me, against the non-existent Panthers D that was out there today I believe Colt would have put up well over 300 yards through the air.
burntorangeandbrown - November 28, 2010
WHEN ARE THEY JUST GOING TO CUT DELHOMME
Not to say I told you so but I said when they acquired Delhomme he was a below average Quarterback and was a horrible pick up. I ACTUALLY HATE JAKE DELHOMME!!
champion64 - November 28, 2010
i actually wouldnt have minded keeping ratliff over delhomme!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
the best thing jake has done this year is mentor McCoy
da36chamberz - November 28, 2010
Yup, you were the only one to say that, chief.
Brownie's Year - November 28, 2010
I don’t hate him as a person – he is a classy guy, but I hated that we signed him and actually paid him decent money. He is a good back up though and he should have been signed with a backup’s contract.
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
If we offered him a backup’s contract he’d have taken the backup job in N’yorlins and he wouldn’t be mentoring Colt.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
It’s a 2 year deal and 7 mil for a QB isn’t much. I think the Cards gave Derek Anderson that much money.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Also a no cap year.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
I don’t see it as a bad investment.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
True – oh well, I could live with that too
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
ANGRY REACTIONARY COMMENT!!!!!!!!!111
Seriously, get a grip, he’s here mentoring McCoy. McCoy has said a million times how great a mentor Jake is. He just shouldn’t be playing.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
DO theyneed to pay a quarterbacks coach 7 MILLION???? Delhomme is not helping this team on the field. He is doing the worst job of protecting the ball out of all the quarterbacks and he has the most experience. HE BLOWS and will be gone. You cant win not protecting the ball and he is a turnover machine. TELLING STAT 1 touchdown 6 interceptions two returned for a touchdowns! He is a liability on the field and there are better quarterback coaches than him. It is not a crime unless he plays again, There is not defending him at all
champion64 - November 28, 2010
Uncapped year
He lead some nice drives, and had two mistakes all game.
I know Seneca has at least 1 pick six, all of our QBs have been throwing picks.
Yes, and no. Who was available that would have been a better mentor than Delhomme?
Tell that to the young kid carpooling to work with him every day that swears that his mentoring is so invaluable.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
What do you want McCoy to say, that Delhomme is a boob? Come on Delhomme will be gone and should be. He has 1 touchdown pass and 6 picks enough said. HE WAS NOT BROUGHT IN TO TEACH McCoy. He was brought in to start and he sucks. McCoy could have been taken before the Browns picked. As DORN said this was a great draft and we lucked into McCoy and the way he looks so far….BUT Delhomme was brought in to steady the ship, and play steady football till someone else was groomed. HE IS SINKING THE SHIP. ARE YOU NOT WATCHING?
champion64 - November 28, 2010
Oh I’m watching, I’m just not running around yelling that the sky is falling. Delhomme was brought in as a stopgap, as a placeholder until we got something better. If you think that Holmgren wasn’t looking at drafting a QB when he signed Delhomme you are even crazier than I think you are. And if you think that Delhomme wasn’t also brought in to help mentor whatever QB caught his fancy than you are just plain nuts. The fact is we had to pay him to pry him away from New Orleans. And try and tell me that Holmgren didn’t have his eyes on Colt the entire draft.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
ahh crap!!
findlaybrownslover - November 28, 2010
Poor Buffalo :(
emily522 - November 28, 2010
The Stealers win in overtime. Goat of the game – Steve Johnson.
woodsmeister - November 28, 2010
God I hate the steelers
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
They are the damnluckiest team in the NFL.
woodsmeister - November 28, 2010
You don’t need luck with the refs on your side…
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
I gotta go now. A crappy win, but a win nonetheless. GO BROWNS.
emily522 - November 28, 2010
Oh Johnson. You’re the Chansi Stuckey of the Bills.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
For a second there I thought you were addressing your own penis.
golanbatrac - November 29, 2010
No, because then the whole sentence would make absolutely no sense to the context I was talking about.
SpecialBrownie - November 30, 2010
#$$ Buffalo! It’s the @#$%&! Browns I care about. I am not sure if I am reading the room here correctly, but it seems like many people are more upset about this close and ugly win than they were about any of the close and ugly losses.JamesPowell - November 28, 2010
And there is good reason for that. Almost every member here will argue that we are a way better team than our record says. We didn’t show it today, not in the second half at least.
Browns town - November 28, 2010
last two games show we deserve to be 4-7
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
I am tired of the “We are better than our record” argument. While I feel we are better than last year at the end of the day all the morale wins matter less than your actual wins and losses. If we end up say 6-10, is that really something to crow about?
kingcrimson2 - November 28, 2010
Well what is your expectation. Do you want to see progress, or do you want to take this year’s W-L record as the final end all? I would be okay with 6-10 against the hardest schedule in the NFL in which we were mostly competitive. Especially since our new front office appears to have a clue. It doesn’t happen in one year.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
I’ve not seen much progress in the last two weeks. We’re playing worse as the season draws to a close.
Look, I’d have the entire front office and coaching staff return next season, but I feel they have to do a better job than they’ve done against Jacksonville and against Carolina.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Jacksonville was disappointing, but you didn’t see progress from some of our young defensive players in that game? I sure did. We need help on offense still, that much is obvious, but our offense is light years better than last year which might have been the worst offense in NFL history.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Yes, which is why I said I’d like them all to return next year. This draft class is looking very good.
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
I think we need to look at where this team was a year ago in the first half of the season. No QB, no running game, no passing attack. Literally could not get first downs.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
The question the coaching staff needs to answer (and this is on them) is why does the team play such poor football in the second half?
BuenosAires_Dawg - November 28, 2010
Completely agree on this. Team has looked great in multiple first halves. What the heck is going on with the team in control? That is a coaching issue in my opinion.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
I think maybe our aging D-line/backers are getting winded as the game goes on allowing the opposing O more breathing room.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
I have not forgotten, and agree there is improvement but that is a far cry from some fans that claim we are one player away or 3 plays from from being a “winning” team. Hopefully the Browns organization can build on the improvements of this year, have a great draft and make a few key free agent signings next year and THEN take a big step forward next year.
kingcrimson2 - November 28, 2010
Are there a lot of people saying we are one player away? I actually do think we are quite close to having a winning record this season, the team just couldn’t close out games they had in control. This to me says we aren’t too far away considering we have had the hardest schedule in the league.
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
You are right we are heading in the right direction, no doubt about it
champion64 - November 28, 2010
Those close ugly losses were against good teams, not the 1-9 de-clawed Panthers.
North Coast Flea - November 28, 2010
It’s true, it feels like a loss
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
But you are right, we should be happy
HenryDawg - November 28, 2010
the reason this game was close is because the coaching staff was planning ahead for the miami game this week
davus - November 28, 2010
I can’t tell if this is a joke or a stupid excuse…
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
joke
Roger Dorn - November 28, 2010
Still, it was a win, no? It was better than losing to the Jags and the Jets.
I guess I am one member who sill not argue that they are way better than their record. Better, but not way better. They are a 4-7 team that should probably be 6-5.
JamesPowell - November 28, 2010
I’ll take a hard tough lose than a shitty game given to us.
Brownie's Year - November 28, 2010
What? No. Are you serious.
You’d rather be 3-8 because it’s how he played but not 4-7 because we got kind of lucky?
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Does 3-8 or 4-7 really matter at this point?
Brownie's Year - November 28, 2010
Uh, what? You know the objective is to win in football right?
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
Is it?
Brownie's Year - November 28, 2010
How many picks does Haden have? 5? He is so beastly.
SpecialBrownie - November 28, 2010
4
davus - November 28, 2010
POST-GAME THREAD IS HERE
Chris Pokorny - November 28, 2010
So where are we on the QB next week? Delhomme had the 2 bad passes – but otherwise looked good. Cant tolerate the mistakes – my guess is we go Seneca? What say you?
realmccoy - November 28, 2010
If McCoy can’t go, it HAS to be Seneca, no question.
Simmsinns - November 28, 2010
Seneca till McCoy gets back. Delhomme cannot protect the ball, HIS number one job. I agree Wallace as the starter, Miami will be a difficult game. Line will be Cleveland favored by 2
