According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Edwards has six drops (the most of any starting receiver in the AFC playoffs). Against the Bengals, Edwards should’ve made a 41-yard touchdown catch, but he dropped the pass in the end zone. He acknowledged that he’s "thinking too much," and he promised to be mentally right before Sunday’s AFC divisional playoff in San Diego.

Jets fans starting to realize what Cleveland has been complaining about all these years. Thinkin too much? Catching a ball is your job out there.

Best part of the article:

"Am I worried about him getting a reputation for dropping the football?" Stan Edwards asked this week from suburban Detroit. "No. Because let’s be honest – he’s earned it."

Stan Edwards is Braylon’s Dad.

Awesome.

This made my year.

totally made the year for me (i did figure that stan had to be some relation, probably dad, if they were interviewing him)…

Braylon…

BA-ZING…

Dissed by your own daddy.

I, however, disagree on this. I think the best part of the article was the youtube video at the very end that shows Braylon dropping a pass… IN PRE GAME WARM UP!

Maybe I’m the only one, but I laughed hysterically for a good 7-9 seconds when I watched it.

Thanks for mentioning that…Now I am laughing again remembering it. I think I will think of this video most times ppl remember braylon edwards.

someone in the comments actually said braylon was the second best blocking WR behind hines ward. talk about denial.

….he promised to be mentally right before Sunday’s AFC divisional playoff in San Diego.

Braylon, mentally right before Sunday? Talk about a psychiatric miracle!

“thinking too much,”

lol. Never thought I would have heard Braylon Edwards accused of that.

Anyways, it’s hilarious seeing Jets fans going through the same thought progression as Browns fans about Braylon.

‘Yeah he’s underperformed…but he gets separation…"
“He helps our other receivers”
“He got so much talent…”
“Hopefully he can establish a rhythm with ______”
“It was a bad situation.”

Just wait until he starts whining about wanting a huge contract, continues to drop balls, and has to deal with the NY fans and media turning against him…(sits back, puts feet up, puts hands behind head…checks watch, and waits expectantly…)

It wasn’t as big a deal since they won the game last week, but if he pulls a stunt like that in a loss, he will get blasted by the NY media.
