Before we get too wrapped up in the Vikings/Browns talk this week, I wanted to quickly wrap up a few loose ends, including a new addition to the Browns practice squad (meaning someone was released too), what happened to Dustin Fry, and who is on this week's injury report.

- Brandon Anderson Released: The team released DB Brandon Anderson from their practice squad.
- Keith Grennan Replaced Him: Grennan is a defensive lineman who came to the league as an undrafted free agent for the San Diego Chargers in 2007. He spent that year on the team's practice squad, and last year was off and on the team's practice squad, final roster, and injury report. He was released a few days ago.
- Dustin Fry to Carolina: This was slipped through the cracks. Dustin Fry, who the team might have wanted on their practice squad, signed to the Carolina Panthers practice squad. As a reminder, the team also lost QB Richard Bartel to the Jaguars practice squad.
- Vikings/Browns Injury Report:
- OUT FOR SUNDAY: OL Rex Hadnot (knee)
- DID NOT PARTICIPATE: RB Cedric Peerman (thigh)
- LIMITED (in practice): LB David Bowens (knee), RB Jerome Harrison (knee), DL Shaun Rogers (foot), CB Eric Wright (knee)
- FULLY PRACTICED: TE Steve Heiden (knee), LB Alex Hall (shoulder)
I was really hoping that Bartel cleared waivers and made it to our practice squad. I saw some potential there for him to make our roster when we will most likely have an opening there next year.

I feel that Bartel was better but BECUASE Ratliff came from the Jets…Well what are you gonna do?
SpecialBrownie - September 10, 2009
ratliff looked too much like ken dorsey last preseason…that’s not a compliment!
allsides - September 10, 2009
Ratliff can at least throw harder.
rufio - September 10, 2009
Fixed

I think we are placing a little too much emphasis on only a portion of a few preseason games, it is possible that Ratliff is a far better QB still. That said, I do fint it unlikely that he would be included in the draft day trade and not kept on the roster.

I was hoping Bartel would make it to our practice squad. I never thought Ratliff would be cut. I just know that D.A. will not be here next year and we will need a #3.
Overlord1976 - September 10, 2009
Why are the Jaguars picking up all our sloppy seconds?
SpecialBrownie - September 10, 2009
When I saw the title I thought we released hadnot
BradyQuinnisBeast - September 10, 2009
That’s what I thought too. I was really worried, because Hadnot really should be a starter at some point this year.
Legoman0721 - September 10, 2009 via mobile
Then you read the story and it became clear that we Hadnot.
Roger Dorn - September 10, 2009

Appreciate that.

I guess I did an effective job at using the “after the jump feature” (i.e. a teaser).

Looking at the Vikings injury list, nothing too notable:
http://www.vikings.com/team/injury-report.html
Kliensasser, TE- Limited Practice (hand)
Berrian, WR- Limited Practice (hamstring)
Henderson, OLB- Did not practice (calf)
Ryan Kelsey - September 10, 2009
Berrian with that hammie is notable, particularly if it is a strain. Those things take forever to heal, and if he is still not 100% it would probably hamper his biggest asset; his downfield speed.
rufio - September 11, 2009
So, is Pool 100%?
