The Cleveland Browns have signed fourth-round LB Kaluka Maiava of USC to a four-year deal worth just under $2.5 million, according to the OBR. Maiava is the team's second draft choice to have signed. Check out Maiava's chances of seeing playing time this season in yesterday's Inside Linebacker Training Camp Preview post.

BradyQuinnisBeast - July 14, 2009
I already saw the news on Carey, good try though

I swear I thought that before i saw the news.

Your post timing is suspicious because I saw the news on Twitter at 10:20 last night. You posted that comment at 10:39. The news was also on the OBR around then

I dont read either of those. Anyway, why would I lie about something like this?

Steal money
Roger Dorn - July 17, 2009
How would that make me money?

Supposed to be a reply to BQiB. My bad.

This guy could be the steal of the draft
The “Matt Cassel”, if you will, of playing behind great players, meaning no glorification in college. This was a good draft pick and signing.

If he hadn’t been playing with Maualuga, Mathews, and Cushing for the last couple of years he would have had a higher profile. SC’s linebacker coach thinks that Maiava might have been a more complete player than the other three, who had particular strengths to compensate for other areas where they still needed work.
I hope he’s a heck of a player for the Browns because, barring disasters, he’s a great kid and should be a good pickup for the team

Get em all in camp!
Mack is probably the only one that would be hard to sign (because he’s a 1st rounder), but he seems like the kind of guy that would just want to get in on time. I really want him to get every possible chance to beat out Fraley.
rufio - July 15, 2009
I hope Fraley gets cut
BradyQuinnisBeast - July 15, 2009
I think Maiva will be the next Andra Davis, which isnt terrible for a backup LB
BradyQuinnisBeast - July 15, 2009
My guess is he is way smarter and way smaller than Davis.

Yea, Maiava should be small and fast. Davis was big and slow.

Awesome news. Let’s celebrate.
Anyone know where we can find any wild pigs?
Estonianzulu - July 15, 2009
good one
BradyQuinnisBeast - July 15, 2009
Cribbs
Does anyone know if he will be in camp or is he gonna hold out for a better contract?
Ridgwaydawg - July 17, 2009
The latest rumors seemed to indicate that Cribbs might hold out still, though nothing concrete yet.
