Can no one spell Malcolm?
homerun21 - April 5, 2009
Hey DBN should do a mock like the other sites where people act like the gm for different teams
BradyQuinnisBeast - April 6, 2009
That would be pretty interesting…
Bernie19Kosar - April 6, 2009
That is what the other blogs are doing. If we do Chris should be the browns.
Also, if it happens i call broncos
BradyQuinnisBeast - April 6, 2009
Uhhh, for those who are doubting the Brian Cushing roid rumors, here is this…
Bernie19Kosar - April 6, 2009
Not saying I believe them or not, but my God that is how a LB should look.
Bernie19Kosar - April 6, 2009
is that really cushing on the right
BradyQuinnisBeast - April 6, 2009
Yes
Bernie19Kosar - April 6, 2009
i don’t think the right photo is cushing.
DontCallMeJoey - April 7, 2009
It is. Here is the full pic, Taylor Mays is the jacked human on the right. Middle guy, I have no idea.
Once again, I am not saying the guy did do roids, but that is freaking scary.
Bernie19Kosar - April 7, 2009
It’s even more profound if you hunt up video of Clay Matthews JR. as a high school senior. A 165 pound walk on safety is suddenly a definite first round pick as the linebacker position? Not buying it…
gahnki - April 8, 2009
Hasn’t everyone pretty much come out and said that those rumors are untrue? Wasn’t it reported by a website that didn’t even have up-to-date team rosters?
I am not saying that Cushing never roided, but I really thought that it had been confirmed that he did not test positive at the combine.
rufio - April 7, 2009
I believe his agent is disputing the claim, but the website is standing behind its report saying they got the info from NFL teams.
This is the time of year for rumors, but ya gotta admit, he looks like he was made in a lab in that photo.

Time of the year for rumors...
We fans are “jonesin” for some Browns news so bad that the rumor mill get really churning at this time of the year. Weed, roids and all is not what I’m looking for.
Trades and draft speculations are!
Anybody think that we can have a trade partner in Tampa Bay for DA? K-2 is there. All 3 QB’s will be gone by #19. How about Tampa Bay’s 3rd round pick, Brian Greisie and Maurice Stovall for DA? Stovall played with Quinn at ND. Greisie would be a nice veterean back up to Quinn.
Any thoughts?
bestSSomar - April 6, 2009
I would rather have just picks for DA, even though I do like the idea of Stovall.
Bernie19Kosar - April 7, 2009
do you think they would do it for a 2nd and 5th and stovall

Just an fyi for everyone, from today’s chat:
Keith (Chicago): Is there a team that would trade for Derek Anderson? Can the Browns get a third rounder for him?
Mel Kiper: (1:48 PM ET ) No. The days of thinking third rounder are over. He doesn’t have any buzz. He’s not the guy I thought myself. When Rex Ryan got the job with the Jets, I thought he might go after Derek Anderson. The Ravens had drafted him before releasing him. Familiarity that’s the kind of thing you try for. But outside of that, I don’t see many teams. Dallas maybe, but they went out and got Jon Kitna in a trade. Maybe a later round pick is all you’re going to get for him now.
kwoog - April 8, 2009
I don’t really think Mel knows what he’s talking about when it comes to trade value, but interesting that he was asked that
Roger Dorn - April 8, 2009
ha, yeah, i know, but it was better than doing work (i asked him that)
kwoog - April 8, 2009
Nice work
Roger Dorn - April 8, 2009
Anderson>Rosenfels
Rosenfels=4th round
BradyQuinnisBeast - April 8, 2009
He’ll get some buzz once teams start losing QB’s to injury in the first month. He may not be happy, but save him until then.
gahnki - April 8, 2009
Hey is dominic rhodes a FA?
BradyQuinnisBeast - April 8, 2009
Yes.
rufio - April 8, 2009
Would he be worth a look at RB?
BradyQuinnisBeast - April 9, 2009
I think at this point we should wait till the draft, see what happens, and then go from there.
No sense signing him and then having to cut him if we traded down to #20 and took Beanie or Knowshawn, and I don’t think there is much sense in taking 5 RB with guaranteed contracts in to the season.
Lots of WRs worth a look, too, if we can’t get another couple of WR we like in the draft: Hackett, Baskett, Drew Bennett, Ron Curry, Sam Hurd, Lelie, McCareins, Shaun McDonald, Joey Porter, Reggie Williams, etc.
