According to weather reports out of Buffalo, we won't be having a Browns vs. Bills snowfest this year.
"It's going to be cold and breezy, but we won't have to endure a national black eye by being buried under 6 inches of snow," National Weather Service meteorologist Mike Pukajlo said this morning.
That's the good news. The bad news is that it will be cold.
Temperatures in Orchard Park are expected to dip below freezing, down to the mid and high 20s, with winds brisk enough to send the wind-chill temperatures down to the high teens.
Nonetheless, this quickly brings another experience to Brady Quinn: cold weather in the National Football League. As Quinn's career blossoms, winning games late in the season will be critical. It is in this type of weather that Derek Anderson posted mediocre numbers last season.

Even though the college season ends earlier, South Bend is very definitely a cold weather locale, with strong lake winds off the cold waters of Lake Michigan. I would guess that Brady has practiced and played a good deal in cold, windy weather. I don’t know how good he is at it, but at least he isn’t a neophyte.

And he played high school ball in Columbus. If his team was in the playoffs, which I assume they usually were, then they played well into November also.

so i guess this is bad news for my need of Brady scoring 21 fantasy points tonight, huh?

Maybe Cribbs will return a few kickoffs to the 5-yard line, we won’t be able to run it in, and Quinn will toss some more TDs to Winslow.

I think Anderson posting mediocre numbers in cold weather is a generous statement. I can’t get the Cincy game out of my mind
