Our loss was very depressing, but we could still back into the playoffs over the next three hours. I'm listening to the Jets/Titans game on Sirius Radio right now and will post some updates during the game. Feel free to discuss that contest here, as well as any post-game comments from the Browns game that you may have. Look at it this way. Mentally assume that the Browns didn't even play today, and no matter what happened, we simply needed the Titans to lose. That could pump us up for the time being.

Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
Vince Young got drilled on the first drive. I can't decide if I want him to return. Vince Young is very careless with the ball...Bernie19Kosar - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
I agree about him being careless, which is why I want him in the game still. The Jets' defense has been better over the past month; hopefully they continue to do well.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
The Jets had a good drive going on their first drive until Thomas Jones fumbled it for a loss of about 11. The Jets are getting the ball back here down by the five-yard line now after another Titans punt. Tennessee is winning the game of field position.BTW, Titans' center Kevin Mawae is missing his first game in 30 games with the Titans. However, Albert Haynesworth is active on defense.
If the Jets can't take care of business this week, hopefully the Colts play their starters into the third quarter next week just like they did this week against Houston in a blowout. You'd think that the Colts would not want someone from their division to make the postseason.

I hate Chad Pennington....Bernie19Kosar - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
Yep, reportedly Pennington had Cotchery with a step after a pump fake, but underthrew it for an interception. End of the first quarter now, but the Titans have a fresh set of downs just seven yards away from the end zone.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
I am watching the game. It was underthrown badly. Titans just scored on a Henry run...Bernie19Kosar - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
The Titans' Chris Brown went up the gut for a rushing touchdown to start off the second quarter. Titans 7, Jets 0. Because this was executed off of a turnover, I wouldn't say the Titans have complete control of this thing just yet.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007

Wow...the Jets get their extra point blocked. I spoke too soon. 7-6, Titans still lead.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
I like hearing that the Jets keep blitzing. Hopefully one of the Jets' defensive backs gets a pick if Young rushes something. INTERCEPTION AS I SAY THAT!!! WOOOO!!!Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007

The Jets are getting good protection and are gashing the Titans secondary...Bernie19Kosar - December 23, 2007

Jets take points off the board after the Titans penalty on the field goal. Hopefully they punch a TD in now!Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007

Big penalty. Hopefully the Jets can punch it in..Bernie19Kosar - December 23, 2007

Like I said before, I hate Chad Pennington...Bernie19Kosar - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
Pennington picked in the end zone, but Young just fumbled it now. Jets with a shot to drive and at least get a FG again.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
Jets sneak for a first down to the 35-yard line. They have two timeouts and 44 seconds to work with.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007

Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
u can watch it by doing this...go to www.sopcast.org (download Sopcast) and use this link to load the stream sop://broker1.sopcast.com:3912/39026 , I think its coming from AFN, its not great quality, but its better than having nothing.
i got this from another cleveland sports site and even though its not great quality it is still better than nothing.

Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
Darn it...the Jets try a quick third-and-short pitch and it gets stuffed. Reportedly Haynesworth was injured on the play...if anyone has an update of how bad it looks, lemme know. That could open up the middle for the Jets run game.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
I have the CBS broadcast. No update after the punt - straight to commercial - but he looked OK.mkwng @ Dawgs By Nature - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
I swear, this is so dumb for CBS to be showing Cleveland fans a 28-0 blowout instead of the Jets/Titans game on TV.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
I hope the Patriots pile on two more quick touchdowns though. Sometimes, if a game is WAY out of reach, they will change it to another contest.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007

Haynesworth just slipped and fell. He doesn't look hurt.mkwng @ Dawgs By Nature - December 23, 2007

Thanks. I'm listening to the Jets' radio guys on Sirius right now and they never provided an update.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
The Titans are in field goal range already. Come on Jets defense...Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
Jets hold the Titans to a field goal. It'd be nice to see Pennington get a couple of deep tosses like he did earlier to Cotchery.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007

For one day, I'd be willing to deem Leon Washington as the AFC's best kick returner if he were to break one at some point :DChris Pokorny - December 23, 2007

Ugh...of course the Jets get another big play from Cotchery, but then the Jets get a 15-yard penalty after the play.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
That was a crap call.mkwng @ Dawgs By Nature - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
All right, Jets are driving with the running game now. Jets need a touchdown, although a field goal would at least keep them in things heading into the fourth quarter.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
Ugh...frickin' holding penalty by the Jets sends them back ten yards again and out of field goal range. 1st-and-20 from the 37.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
SOB...Pennington sacked on third down and removes any chances of a field goal attempt.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
Wow, I just heard that the Jets knocked the punt out of bounds at the one? Sweet...let's hope the Jets get to Young. This is actually better than a long field goal try.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
Can anyone tell if the Titans truly did get a first down as we head to the fourth quarter? The Jets announcers said that it may be worth looking at.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
The Titans are driving with the ground game...not good. I want Young to throw and get picked.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007

Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
The Jets are facing a third-and-ten with a hair over eight minutes left in the game. Pennington's been sacked five times today.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
The Titans are forced to punt with 4:52 left in the game. This will probably be the Jets last chance.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
I hope the Titans don't figure out that the only pass Pennington can complete is the 5-yard out, and the soft coverage is helping him...mkwng @ Dawgs By Nature - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
Two minute warning and the Jets are facing a 3rd-and-4, 45 yards away from the end zone.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007

Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
3rd-and-6 and the Jets used their final timeout. Come on Jets, force a forth down and they get some type of miracle...Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007
Re: Post-Game: NYJ vs. Tennessee Titans
Game over...no help from the Jets. We're going to have to hope that the Colts play Peyton Manning and company next week for more than a half, because our game against the 49ers means nothing.Chris Pokorny - December 23, 2007

I am just...so depressed right now.Didn't get to hear / watch any of the game, caught the score and I just knew, knew, knew that the Titans would not lose.
I mean, how else would you expect the Browns' season to end? Has to go down to the last game (and it is entirely outside of our control).
I am the biggest Colts fan in the world now.
